Total War: Warhammer 3 is looking pretty sick, thanks to a new reveal of the grinning gruesome germlords of Nurgle’s army.

Nurgle’s forces are living large and in charge (of the plagues that will end the world), and with the roster newly revealed, we’re taking a closer look at the cream of the crop, the tip of the top, the daemonic versions of Paul Allen from American Psycho, although instead of having a nearly identical business card, they have pustules, crustules, pestilence, and a joie de vivre that can’t be beat.

That’s right it’s Nurgle’s Lords. And we’re here with the first of the worst, the illest Great Unclean One to walk the world, it’s Ku’gath, father of plagues. Not content to merely spread existing diseases, Ku’gath wants to brew up a plague that can infect even the gods themselves.

Until then he just wants to ride around on his sick palanquin full of alchemical paraphernalia. He’s equal parts artillery piece, spellcaster, and heroic lord. And while he isn’t the most powerful melee combatant, he’s still a Great Unclean One, and that makes him hard to kill.

  • Lores: Lore of Nurgle
  • Mounts: None, but rides a Nurgling Palanquin as default

Then there’s the HErald of Nurgle, forged out of the souls of those who endured against Nurgle’s Rot for longer than most–their strength and hardiness in life has twisted them into the strongest and hardiest of Nurgle’s Daemonic legions. As such, they are powerful combatants and they have access to two different Lores.

  • Mounts: Nurgle Palanquin or Rot Fly
  • Lores: Lore of Nurgle or Lore of Death

Finally we have the Exalted Great Unclean Ones. These are among the most powerful Great Unclean Ones, whose diseases are as virulent and vile as they are jovial and jocular. These disease-ridden dough boys are hard to kill, help spread your disease even faster and further, and can unleash thousands of flies as an aura effect to distract enemy troops they engage.
