Explore the dread founders and Inner Circle of the Black Legion. Abaddon the Despoiler’s Ezekarion.

The Ezekarion are the founders and inner circle of the Black Legion, Lords who are sworn brothers to Ezekyle Abaddon,  the Despoiler, and those most trusted by him. Abaddon allows the Ezekarion to call him by his first name, and seals off Lupercal’s Court on the Vengeful Spirit for their use.

The Dread Members

Falkus Kibre – Commander of the Aphotic Blade.  Nicknamed Widowmaker, was a Captain of the Luna Wolves/Sons of Horus‘ First Company. Today, he is a member of the Black Legion, now Warmaster of Chaos, as part of the Black Legion’s Terminator Elite known as the Bringers of Despair.

Sargon Eregesh – Lord Prelate of the Long War (in Imperial captivity). Sargon Eregesh was a member of the Word Bearers Legion who was born on Colchis and became a Chaplain of the Brazenhead Chapter. He took part in the Horus Heresy and fought in the Battle of Terra, where he suffered a grievous Plasma Weapon wound that left him unable to speak. Still, he continued to communicate through a reanimated corpse telepathically.

Iskandar Khayon – Lord Vigilator (in Imperial captivity). a Chaos Sorcerer, the Lord Vigilator of the Black Legion, Warleader of the Kha’Sherhan, Third of the Ezekarion and a brother to Ezekyle Abaddon. To the Thousand Sons he is known as Khayon the Black, for his sins against his bloodline. The Black Legion call him Kingbreaker, the mage who brought Magnus the Red to his knees.

Telemachon Lyras – Champion, Lord of the Shrieking Masquerade. Lyras was the Captain of the Emperor’s Children 51st Company and was originally born on Terra. During the Horus Heresy, he served in the Honour Guard of Eidolon and was present on Ullanor during the muster of traitors there by Horus’ order.

Lheorvine Ukris – Commander of the War God’s Maw (deceased). Originally a member of the World Eaters, Lheor had been a Centurion of the 50th Heavy Support Company. After the end of the Heresy and the Battle of Skalathrax, Lheor commanded a small warband of World Eaters known as the Fifteen Fangs, which eventually allied itself with Falkus Kibre.

Ashur-Kai Qezremah – Voidseer of the Vengeful Spirit (Now part of the Warp Ghosts). Known as the White Seer, Ashur-Kai was a potent Psyker who commanded the warship Tlaloc and its advanced partly Daemonic Machine Spirit known as the Anamnesis. He eventually fell under the command of the Sorcerer Iskandar Khayon and became part of the Kha’Sherhan warband. Along with the rest of his warband, Ashur-Kai swore itself to Abaddon the Despoiler and took part in the first battle of the Black Legion, the Battle of Harmony.

CeraxiaMistress of the Arsenal. A Heretek Tech-Priest of the Dark Mechanicum and the Governess of the Daemon Forge of Gallium within the Eye of Terror. Gallium sought to be neutral in the civil war between the Traitor Legions

Valicar Hyne – Master of the Fleet, Commander of the warship Thane. Known by his epithet the Graven, Valicar was a Space Marine of the Iron Warriors Legion who later joined the nascent Black Legion. Following the Horus Heresy, Valicar lead his warband to Gallium, a Dark Mechanicum forge world under the control of Ceraxia, becoming the Guardian of Gallium in the subsequent Legion Wars. With his forces and the heavy cruiser Thane at his command, Valicar enforced Gallium’s neutrality among the disparate warbands of Chaos Space Marines that sought repair and resupply at Gallium.

Vortigern – Lord of the Black Lions, Commander of the warship With Blade Drawn. A Fallen Angel who fought in the Legion Wars in the aftermath of the Traitor Legions’ defeat in the Horus Heresy. Known to hold a serious demeanor at all times and of his loyalty to Abaddon’s cause, Vortigern rose to become one of the Black Legion’s Ezekarion.

Amurael Enka – Master of the Flesh Harvest, Chaos Dreadnought. Known as Amurael the Corrupted, is a Chaos Dreadnought of the Black Legion. Originally, Amurael was an Apothecary of the Sons of Horus who, after the Horus Heresy, became a close ally to Abaddon the Despoiler.

Ilyaster FaylechApothecary. A member of the Death Guard Legion during the Horus Heresy and later escaped into the Eye of Terror when the Traitor Legions were defeated on Terra.

Moriana – Prophetess-Seer. Her origins are shrouded in mystery. According to Iron Warriors Warsmith Honsou, it was rumored that she was once a handmaiden to the Emperor of Mankind, before she fell from grace and was banished from the Imperium. According to another source, she was once one of the few members of the Horusians within the nascent Inquisition, a sect that believed that the dark power which had animated Horus Lupercal during the Horus Heresy could be harnessed to resurrect the fallen Emperor. The Horusians were regarded with fear and suspicion by the rest of the Inquisition, and consequently trod carefully, while some, like Moriana, fell to Chaos.

Many members of the Ezekarion make The Vengeful Spirit their home.
