Build History – Rome Inspired LEGO Sets Join the 10K Club

These LEGO IDEAS sets imagine the regal buildings, soaring temples, and busy streets of Rome in plastic bricks.
Pantheon 124 A.D.
This set is a member of the 10K club. Its creator is an architect, restorer, and history enthusiast who aimed to make this set celebrating the ancient dome as close to the original as possible. The structure is composed of nearly half Technic pieces and features three gods, three goddesses, and an emperor, all based on the Dii Consentes, also known as the Harmonious Gods.
LEGO Roman Forum
This set has 1,776 pieces and features some of the architecture for which the empire was renowned. It comes with four minifigs and a statue for the temple.
The Forum was home to many beautiful temples, marketplaces, triumphal arches, and other monuments. This model depicts a small portion of what it might have looked like in its glory days. A large temple is the centerpiece with a easily removable roof. Inside, is a golden statue and red ribbons hanging on the walls. Next to the temple is a triumphal arch, most likely constructed to celebrate a previous Emperor. The background has a large aqueduct as they where very common to find in many Roman cities.

LEGO Roman City Square
This LEGO set inspired by Rome is also a member of the 10K club. The forum square features a fountain and a statue at its center and is flanked by vendor stalls. It includes 14 minifigures and some animals such as a cow, sheep, goats, plus a cat ready to catch all the rats on the loose in search of the cheese stall. This set features some great details… hopefully it makes it to shelves.
Ancient Roman Temple
This 2,700 piece set is currently under review, so we’re waiting for the LEGO team to approve it. It’s inspired by the Sbeitla Forums Temple, Tunisia. The temple is modular; the roof lifts off to reveal a detailed interior devoted to Poseidon. Two guards, a senator, and a patrician woman minifigs are also included.

LEGO Roman Town
Leave the large cities of the Roman Empire behind for a life that’s a little slower and more peaceful. The LEGO Roman town includes five minifigs and a cow, and the roofs of the buildings can be lifted to reveal the interiors. This set is just past the halfway mark and needs your vote to join the 10k club.
In this quiet town there is a farm that provides everyone with food such as grapes, olives and milk. In the center of town there is a sundial so you can see what time of day it is. There is also a workstation for people to make pottery in the tallest building. And finally, after a day of work you can visit the bath house to relax and socialize.
