Games Workshop has a new Rumor Engine out and it sure does look like a very expensive back scratcher. It’s got jewels and everything!

Welcome back to another Tuesday Rumor Engine. Normally, these images are head scratchers that really make us think. Today, I think GW was going for something a bit more back-scratchy than head-scratchy. Take a look for yourself.

“There is but one conclusion to come to when looking at today’s Rumour Engine image: novelty back scratchers have finally arrived in the Mortal Realms.”

Rumor Engine – One Fancy Back Scratcher

Okay, so maybe it’s not a Back Scratcher. I certainly could be one though. And a very fancy, very expensive one at that. While the text does have some jokes in there, it is pointing us at the Mortal Realms. I have to agree, this does look like it’s from the Age of Sigmar. But who would be using an object that looks like a claw with talons? Perhaps the fur has something to do with it?

Honestly, my first guess was something bird related. At first I thought that maybe this was a bird’s claw and those were feathers. But the more I look at the image it’s starting to look more like a paw near fur.

Perhaps GW is going to be leaning into the wolf images. I’m not sure if this is on the right track or not either. The back scratcher is too narrow to be a bear claw and wolves are pretty common in Warhammer. I keep thinking that maybe this is a weapon but I’m not entirely sure why it would look so fancy. Maybe it’s a wand? I really don’t know about this image. So yeah, I’m stumped.

Here’s where you come in. If you have any ideas as to what this could be drop us a line in the comments. I’m also starting to question if this is even related to the Mortal Realms now.  I’ll I really know is that my back is itchy and I need to scratch it now. Thanks a lot, GW.

Forget the Rumor Engine. I’d need to go find something to actually scratch my back now.
