Goatboy’s Grimdark Armylist: World Eaters Beefy Scout List

Goatboy here with another 40K bloodthirsty list I want to try out with World Eaters – just add War Dogs to get some beefy scouts!

I have been looking at some of the new Chaos Knight options on the War Dog front as I could make a very aggressive scouting army of stuff.  It won’t be as fast as old World Eaters but it would be able to set up some interesting staging and well as just flood the middle of the board with beef.

Currently the World Eaters codex has two “scouting” options in the book.  You have the Eightbound unit that is still very powerful as well as the extremely good Chaos Spawn for the Army.  That gives you some units that can quickly stage for turn 2+ and sometimes get some sneaky charges into remove chaff as needed.  From there I wanted to look at the Stalkers from Chaos Knights that gives you another 6” scouting unit to help go with all the other options and create a ton of wounds hitting the middle of the tabletop.

I don’t know how good this combo angry list will be – but it does give you some fun and powerful anti vehicle options with Daemonbreath Spear/Slaughter Claw Stalkers that hit a bit better and are still a scoring threat.  It also let you create a multi wave approach that might actually be good versus a lot of stuff.  It also is almost a crazy MSU style build as well too.

World Eaters Beefy Scouts Tactics

As you can see it is a pretty simple list with the Goremongers protecting you “path” out to the middle.  You have the mentioned units and then a 3rd wave of Berzerkers that can help clean a things up as needed.  Kharn does amazing with that group and you just have a powerful little choice there.  I of course added the two Forgefiends as they do great as a “bully” type of unit to keep your opponent from jump into the middle or coming after your backfield with the overwatch threat they produce.  Really the only thing kind of missing is the Jakhals as they can sticky an objective and just cover the backfield but I don’t know if you need it.

What do you think?  Would this work out well?  It covers some Anti-vehicle options the army needs beyond assaulting elements.  It has some fast movement and a ton of wounds to chew through.

Do you think this armylist is worthy of the Brass Throne?
