Marvel: Crisis Protocol – The Other Fantastic Four Villains We Need
The Fantastic Four movie shined the light on the Super Hero Team that we want in Marvel: Crisis Protocol. But also some villains, too.
I wrote about how I was really hoping to see the Fantastic Four announced at Gen Con 2025 earlier this week. I don’t know if that will happen but I’m also not holding my breath that this point. Gen Con 2025 is basically kicking off proper today so we’ll have to see how it all goes. Anyhow, in that article I mentioned how there were a few characters beyond Galacticus, Silver Surfer, and Doctor Doom I’d like to see. Specifically a few villains of the Fantastic Four. So let’s do it! Here’s a few more character I really want to see join Marvel: Crisis Protocol.
Mole Man
I’ve mentioned Harvey Rupert Elder, aka Mole Man, before. I think this guy is hilarious and kind of great. Think about it. He’s got an entire Subterranean kingdom and an extensive network of tunnels to get around the Earth with. Sure, he might be viewed as a bit of a joke, but he’s got a serious amount of sway if he ever got treated seriously by a writer. He’s got the most powerful enemy in all of comics against him: the power of plot.
Super-Skrull
Super-Skrull is probably the most famous Skrull in comics. He’s got the powers of all four of the Fantastic Four which, in theory, should make him more powerful. But he gets beaten — however, that’s not really the point. I think that if AMG can’t use the FF then maybe they can sneak in Super-Skrull for some more Cosmic-based shenanigans.
Red Ghost
Red Ghost, aka Ivan Kragoff, has a crew of Super-Apes at this disposal. But that really doesn’t explain why he’s dubbed the Red Ghost or why he’s a villain of the Fantastic Four. Well, his origin is that he’s from the Soviet Union (which explains the “Red” part). But he was a scientist that basically tried to copy the Fantastic Four. He built a rocket and flew it into cosmic rays as well. Only his crew was a bunch of apes — literally. The power he got was the ability to intangible and invisible (which explains the “Ghost” part).
Anyhow, in the comics he’s gone against the Fantastic Four quite a few times especially in the early days of the series. I don’t think he’s really that well known outside of comic book fans but I have a funny feeling that may change.
Terrax the Tamer
I feel like this one might be cheating a little bit because Terrax is introduced as a Herald of Galactus. So it does feel like if we’re going to get him then the other Heralds of the big man should be included. But I think Terrax is probably the best “villain” out of all the Heralds due to his lack of moral code. He was kind of a tyrant to begin with and the Cosmic Power Boost from Galactus just made him more of a jerk. The fact that he looks similar to Darkseid is just the cherry on top for me. Just so punchable. A perfect villain for The Thing to clobber!
Blastaar
Blastaar is another very early villain of the Fantastic Four. He’s actually an alien from the Negative Zone and followed Reed Richards back to the 616-universe in the comics. Blastaar fought with not just the Fanastic Four but also against the Avengers. In more recent comic like the Annihilation Wave event he actually helped to fight against Annihilus who he viewed as a rival from the Negative Zone. I really just want to see a guy called “The Living Bomb Burst” make it to the tabletop and do some damage!
What other Fantastic Four villains would you like to see join the tabletop in Marvel: Crisis Protocol?
