New LEGO Game Boy – Now You Can Play With Brick Power

Take a trip down memory lane with LEGO’s new Game Boy set that comes with Zelda and Super Mario Game Paks.

The portable console rocked gamers when it came out in 1989 and helped make Tetris one of the world’s most iconic games. Thanks to a new retro set, you’ll be able to add a full-scale LEGO Game Boy to your Nintendo or LEGO video game collection this fall. Bonus: it’s less than $60.

LEGO Game Boy

This brick-built version of the iconic handheld system features the +Control Pad, A and B Buttons, and SELECT and START, alongside other details, like the contrast adjustment and volume dial. Its Game Pak slot fits interchangeable, brick-built The Legend of ZeldaLink’s Awakening and Super Mario Land LEGO Game Boy Game Paks. Fans can select between their choice of display screen: theclassic Nintendo start screen or one from the interchangeable Game Paks.

Pac-Man Arcade

The LEGO Game Boy isn’t the only way to celebrate video games. This LEGO replica of the classic arcade cabinet is full of retro details and fun features. It has a 4-way joystick and an illuminated coin slot. The game’s chase between Pac-Man and the ghosts is recreated with a mechanical maze. You can even open the back and display all the mechanisms.

The set also has a 1980s arcade scene to build and display alongside the cabinet. It has a gaming minifig and rotatable PAC-MAN, BLINKY, and CLYDE figures.

Atari 2600

Before Nintendo cam on the scene, video gaming changed forever when the Atari 2600 hit stores in 1977. The set goes beyond the gaming system with three buildable scenes from the games, as well as a hidden 1980s scene.

Super Mario Pirhana Plant
