Whelp, that was quick. Steamforged Games P3 Paints are back with wave 2 and it’s a going to make a big splash (of color).

So yesterday kicked off the new crowdfunding campaign of P3 Paints. As I mentioned before, I’m a fan. I backed it with my own money to get the wave 1 starter set. Well, to say it launched successfully is a bit of an understatement. It was funded in 14 minutes and 15 seconds and is currently (as of writing this article) over 670% funded.

P3 Paints Wave 2 Campaign Launch – Early Bird Special

This isn’t a sponsored post. I just wanted to get the word out about these paints because I genuinely like them. Plus there’s an Early Bird Pledge that’s only available for the first 72 hours.

I’ll be honest, I’m personally not going to drop $400 on paints. That’s entirely because I just don’t need that right now. As a person who’s already got a sizable paint collection that been built up over the years I just can’t justify this purchase for me. However, if I was looking to get all the colors I’d ever need and had the cash burning a hole in my pocket I’d totally back this one.

The good news is the Early Bird isn’t the only option for backers. There’s smaller options out there like the 8 Color Pack (there’s various sets for different colors). There’s the Metal Pledge for just the P3 Metallics. The Sprays Pledge is just for the new spray cans — this one’s perfect for priming.

And there’s also a couple other pledges for bigger batches of paint like the Wave 1 Pledge (to get 110 Paints) or the Multi-Color Pledge that’s a bunch of Wave 2 paints.

So Many Paints

While I won’t be jumping into the Early Bird deal, I’m seriously considering one of the smaller pledges. I’m a fan of the Wave 1 Starter set and there’s a few colors I’m looking at dipping my paint brush into.

The Back of the P3 Paints Wave 1 Starter Set

Anyhow, P3 Paints are great and I recommend folks give them a shot. There’s a bunch of bundles and honestly I’m really hoping to see these start to show up in FLGS around the world. Backing now is supposed to save you money vs the retail prices later as well.

One final note, this is a part of the Gamefound Stable Pledge Program. That means the following:

Additionally, these pledges are subject to all applicable shipping fees which will be calculated after the campaign and are based on your shipping address. I’m only mentioning this because some folks seem to forget that shipping isn’t a part of the pledge. But, as always, read the shipping details for yourself.

Also, as far as I can tell, most of these pledges are looking at a June 2026 delivery date. So just keep that in mind, too.
