Goatboy here with the top 3 Imperial Knight units for the new 40K mini-index update we are going to be living through this summer.

The biggest of the 40K 10th Edition Imperial Knights are here to wreck things, steal your candy, and be big terrible jerks.  They are not all equal and here are the top 3 and why they are as brutal as they are – just perfect for your armylists.

3. Knight Errant – The Classic

Hey you know what is great into other big knights?  A Knight that has weapon that is stronger than the toughness of other knights, shoots a decent amount of shots, and when within 12” they can spike crazy damage.  This is the nice cheap option that can easily hunt other big options especially with its extra snazzy ability to get a +1 to hit when shooting at their closest target.  Throwing out its shots, getting 1 reroll to hit, and then another reroll to wound and you start to see how this giant monster is just a brutal choice.  Oh and they can also punch things too means it does just about everything you need in a cheap shell.  The Knight Errant is going to be one of the big boi Imperial Knights you will see a lot just due to the fact it is the default knight that comes in a box so everyone should have them.

2. Canis Rex – The Man, The Legend, The OP Rules

Look this guy is probably the best “plastic” knight right now.  This model will show up in every list, be a threat all over the table top, and just be a huge pain in your butt.  He hits so hard, moves so fast, and really does it all.  Heck his ability to get a free Strat means even if you come in and kill him in combat he will probably just fight on death and wreck you.  Then you will watch as his tiny regular body falls out his butt and still lets him go score an objective as all the stuff you used to kill Canis is left dead or left exposed to the rest of the army.  Oh and he is cheap as heck too when you compare him to other options like Mr. Rex.

3. Atrapos – Forge World Oddball Powerhouse

Have you checked out this models stats? First of all it is one of the Knights that has a flat Invulnerable save of 5+.  This is versus anything which makes it a bruiser in combat which is one of the ways you can chew one of these Feel No Pain monsters.  From there it even can still shoot extremely hard with a flat 4, strength 14, AP – 3, and d6 shot sustained gun.  It even has a smaller shot based gun that can do even more damage as well at D3 shots, strength 16, AP -4, and d6+1 that you can overcharge to get Devastating wounds.  You mix this with its other rule of getting a +1 to hit versus any monster or vehicle and you start to see how just about anything that might chew through it quickly is going to get wrecked.  On top of that if the enemy is Titanic it even gets a +1 to wound versus it too.  Oh and then it even can shoot its one gun in close combat to get a 6 attack option or go for a 12 sweep option as well.  It even has a few more wounds too.  You know a mid table bully is going to show up with three Atropos before long and between these jerks and Canis you got a combo of brutality to deal with.

You ready to deal with these three giants on the table top?  Do your army have a plan to wreck through a couple of these?  Is Canis going to be the most popular hero for those Imperial Armies this summer?
