LEGO IDEAS Review Breaks Record – Studio Ghibli, Castles, TMNT, Sci-Fi, Rome, and So Much More
The number of sets that have joined the 10k club makes this the biggest review in LEGO IDEAS history. See if your favorite made it!
The Second 2025 Review qualifiers have been announced. The 146 product ideas hit the 10,000 supporter milestone between early May 2025 and September 1st. Congrats to all of the winners—I look forward to building the chosen sets when they hit shelves.
With 146 projects in this review, it makes it the biggest review in LEGO Ideas history. Not just a few more than our previous record of 71 projects in the First 2023 Review Period, but over double! So a huge thank you to everyone who created or supported one of these fantastic projects! Once again, our community is proving that it’s the best in the world.
Below are a handful of my favorites—make sure you check out all of the finalists!

Interstellar
This Interstellar inspired set from KoalaBrick recreates the tesseract and weaves important moments from the film into the build. It includes dioramas of Miller’s planet (with CASE and Brand), another of Mann’s planet (with Mann and TARS), and Murph’s room (with Cooper and Murph) in the streams of the four-dimensional cube. Gargantua and the Endurance are also prominently featured.
I dig this set because it elegantly captures iconic scenes from the movie. The prototype has around 4,650 pieces, making it a real challenge to build.

K-Pop Demon Hunters
This 913-piece set rocketed into the 10k club in two short months thanks to the popularity of the Netflix hit. It features a blue tiger with its protective presence and magical color palette, and the three-eyed crow that as its mysterious and mystical counterpart. The tiger holds a note in his mouth – a message from Jiro that reads: “Hello friend.”
Roman Forum
This forum square set features a fountain and a statue at its center and is flanked by vendor stalls. It includes 14 minifigures and some animals, such as a cow, sheep, goats, plus a cat ready to catch all the rats on the loose in search of the cheese stall.
There are several Roman Empire inspired sets in the bunch. This set combines the period’s distinctive architecture, art, and everyday life in one box… hopefully it makes it to shelves.

Subaru Impreza WRC
I’m a LEGO car collector, as well as a WRC and ARA fanatic… so, of course, I want this set to make it to market. This brick-built ’90s rally icon has a 4-cylinder boxer motor under the hood and steering mechanism on the front axle. Its interior features a racing steering wheel, roll cage and bucket seats and it has a spare in the trunk.
It needs a rock to make it complete, though.
My Neighbor Totoro 1988
One of several Totoro sets under review. I chose this one because it stands out from the bus stop sets; its lush surroundings are inspired by the movie’s poster. It features Satsuki Kusakabe, Mei Kusakabe, a brick-built Totoro, Totoro Chuu, plus a blue and a white Totoro Chibi on a tree branch over a stream.
Wolf’s Gate
This castle gate by ChillyOrange081 as two interiors which can be accessed by hinged walls that are invisible when closed. It features a dungeon, trees with fall foliage, textured rock formations, a Tudor inspired look out, and comes with four minifigs. The medieval LEGO set offers endless play possibilities, as well as being a fantastic display piece. It is a really grand set that would make a great addition to the castle theme.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Cowabunga!
I featured a bunch of TMNT IDEAS sets up for vote back in May. This dynamic set is one of the two that made it into this review. The team fights off Foot Clan warriors while the party van bursts out of a pizza box, complete with two pepperoni slices. Perfection. You can also display the party van and minifigs separately.
