This week’s Kickstarter roundup has us working in a raccoon’s bakery, figuring out who’s AI and who’s human, and much more.

Last Week of Summer

It’s the summer of 1986, you just graduated high school and you have one more week of summer before it’s time to head off to the real world.

Last Week of Summer combines worker placement with modular locations. Plan your day and then visit the town as you compete to make friends with the coolest kids in town, get invited to the best parties, complete goals to make memories by placing cassettes on locations (these represent the songs that bring you back to the summer days). Whoever has the most cassettes at the end of the week is the winner.

With the summer at an end and school getting back in session, this game is timely. It also feels deeply nostalgic in the same way that Night in the Woods did… But maybe without the mystery or borderline horror aspects. Which is to say, Last Week of Summer looks like a neon-colored game that we’ll all need to play in the last week of ever summer.

100 Horror Events for D&D 5E

Are you prepared to set off on a spooky journey? With my extensive experience as both a player and a disturbed dungeon master, I understand the vital role that improvisation and unpredictability play in your horrifying gaming experience. Sometimes when DMing in the moment my mind goes blank. I need the environment to feel alive, but I am trying to manage everything else. So I created these resources.

It’s almost that time of year where my D&D group starts thinking about spooky horror-themed adventures and one-shots. And this book is will put you squarely on that creepy adventure. Whether you’re a GM who uses modules or someone who has your own campaign already set up and just need a little something to add every now and again, there are tons of options and inspiration in here.

Endearment

Historical illustrations and paintings immerse the player in England as it was so prettily described in Jane Austen’s novels. Imagine yourself amongst the gardens, ballrooms, libraries, and estates where the characters’ stories unfolded.

Paint your own story as you interact with characters and experience events from across Jane Austen’s works.

If you’re not at least a little bit nerdy about Jane Austen, this game will probably not be for you. But if you ARE…. Endearment will let you jump into the world of a Jane Austen novel with all of the parties, high society, and gossip you could hope for. Interact with the characters, walk the gardens, and live your own Austen story.

Am I Human

Hello fellow Human! In a world infiltrated with AI characters, prove you are the true human by doing the only logical human thing! Collecting humans!

The goal is simple; prove you are the true human by collecting as many Human Cards as possible. The catch? You need to get rid of ALL the AI characters and Action Cards in your hand to bank your Humans.

Play AI rows to get rid of them, but any other fellow human can add to these rows.

In a world full of fully computer-generated videos and AI “art,” sometimes we spend a little too much time staring at an image and wondering if it’s real or not. And this game makes light of that situation a little bit. Weed out the AI so you can keep around all of the real human. Because collecting humans is the most human thing you can do.

Macaraccoon

Every morning, all the critters in town line up at the same bakery for their daily dose of sugary bliss. Macaraccoon has been Sugarmouth’s beloved Bake Master for years, whipping up treats that make tails wag and whiskers twitch with joy. Until now.

Macaraccoon is hanging up his apron for good, to chase his childhood dream of collecting shiny treasures (raccoon lingo for trash).

Everyone’s sweet tooths tremble in worry – who will feed them tasty treats now?

Bake tasty treats for the cute forest creatures! This game looks adorable and reminds me of Animal Crossing‘s levels of relaxing and nice. I can think of few things more charming than helping the local raccoon run his bakery so he can go collect treasures.

Skullduggery

A crypt Blade rogue skulks down the rain-streaked, dark alley, reloading her repeating crossbow. Her associate, a College of Poison bard, trails just behind, lacing his rapier with blade venom, while nervously peeking over his shoulder. Something is certainly following them in the shadows. Could it be her former guild, the cult from his past, or something even more unsettling? The ancient crypts below the city have recently been disturbed…

Skullduggery is a gritty, urban high-fantasy campaign for 5E. If dark alleys, poisons, politics, and adventure are what you’re looking for in an adventure, this is the world to jump into.
