Grab These LEGO Sets Before They Go Away Forever – Star Wars, Technic, More
From Star Wars ships and iconic castles to pirate and Batman sets—you don’t have much time left to grab these sets before they retire.
2025 is almost over—and that means it’s going to be harder to find these retiring sets. I’ve featured some of my favorites; a more complete list is below. There are also a lot of savings to be had!
Star Wars: UCS X-Wing (75355)
The latest Ultimate Collectors Series X-Wing has authentic brick-built details like an opening cockpit, a spot for R2-D2, and wings that can be adjusted from flight mode to attack mode with a turn of a switch. It makes an impressive display piece and comes complete with a stand and plaque showing X-Wing technical data.

Marvel: Daily Bugle (76178)
This set includes a whopping 25 minifigs. When constructed, the building’s four stories stack to over 32 inches high, topped off by J. Jonah Jameson’s penthouse office. At the same time, the employees of the Bugle (and Peter Parker) work inside the superheroes of Marvel battle each other outside. With its removable floors, detachable facades, and attention to detail, this is a fun collectible for Marvel fans – and a challenging build, to boot. It even comes with a buildable NYC yellow taxi.

Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 (42115)
Technic cars are some of my favorites to build (I have the SP3 that’s in this same scale – it was really fun and challenging). This brick-built supercar features an 8-speed transmission activated by the movable paddle gearshift, a V12 engine with moving pistons, and 4-wheel drive. Use the steering wheel to position the wheels and functional front and rear suspension. It also has working scissor doors and the Sián’s signature green paint color.

UCS Razor Crest (75331)
This UCS set is over two feet long—if you’re looking for a display piece, this is it. The Razor Crest’s top lifts off to show what’s inside, and you can remove the cockpit to see even more. The ship has a lot of show-inspired parts, including a cargo compartment with a weapons cabinet and a minifigure-sized carbon-freezing chamber. It even has a detachable escape pod.

Lions Knights’ Castle (10305)
Lion Knights’ Castle is the set you remember, but bigger and better. It opens and has a bunch of moving parts—the castle’s drawbridge and portcullis raise and lower. You can get ready for battle in the fully stocked armory. It also has hidden passages that minifigs can use to escape the dungeon. There’s even a secret hideout for the forest people.

Technic Mars Crew Exploration Rover (42180)
This Space set is packed with accessories and playability. The rover has variable suspension for going over rocks and obstacles. It expands to reveal a truck bed that has a crane to lift the included robot rover, tools, fuel reactor, and collection canisters. Inside the rover, the crew’s living quarters feature seating, a shower, a toilet, a treadmill, and a fridge. It even has an airlock so it can be connected to other Space sets.

Creator 3-in-1 Pirate Ship (1264)
The high seas are calling, and swashbuckling adventures await with this three-in-one set. Not only do you get a pirate ship with moving sails and working canons, but you can also build Skull Island and Pirate’s Inn. All in one box.

IDEAS: Insect Collection
The collection includes five species from across the globe. The blue morpho butterfly has adjustable wings decorated in shades of blue, perched upon a buildable flower with a miniature honeybee for scale. The Hercules beetle is propped on some LEGO brick wood to represent its favorite food. Its wings can be positioned open or closed. And the Chinese mantis has articulated forelegs and a seven-spotted ladybug that’s hoping it won’t become food.

Motorized Lighthouse (21335)
This set made for adult builders features a motorized rotating light with custom-designed Fresnel lens elements and a glowing fireplace in the keeper’s cottage. The cottage and tower have detailed interiors that are easily accessed. Both sit on a rocky outcrop with steps to a pier and a cave. A lighthouse isn’t a lighthouse without a keeper—it comes with one as well as a sailor with a boat, cat, and seagull.

Gotham City (76271)
The set recreates iconic locations from the beloved Batman: The Animated Series, including Arkham Asylum, Bat Signal, and Gotham City Court Building. The 15 panels detach, revealing the inside of Wayne Manor and the activities of the Rogues Gallery across the city. It’s packed with easter eggs and characters from the series. The set comes with four minifigs—Batman, The Joker, Harley Quinn, and Catwoman. There’s even a brick-built mini Batwing and Batmobile that fit within the build.
