Atomic Mass Games has a fantastic new Starter Set coming to Marvel: Crisis Protocol. This one is for all the Spider-Foes fans out there!

We did this with the X-Men already and I was shocked to see the pricing on it. Now we’re tackling the Spider-Foes.

I don’t have Rhino…but I do have Doc Ock!

Spider-Man has arguably one of the best Rogues Galleries out there. So seeing them all in one, new Starter Set is pretty awesome. Well, almost all of them. You’ll need a Doc Ock (or two) to round things out. That’s what I was planning on doing.

The one character that’s been alluding me is Rhino and that’s because his character pack has been out of stock since …well, for a while now. I don’t have an exact date but it’s been over a year at this point — that’s how long I’ve been looking for him to add to my roster collection. Anyhow, this new Starter Set might be my best bet for snagging him. For now. With that said, let’s bust out the calculator and do some math for this pricing breakdown!

CP21 Green Goblin* $24.95

CP58 Lizard and Kraven*$39.95

CP98 Rhino*$34.95

CP50 Mysterio and Carnage $39.95

CP156 – Marvel: Crisis Protocol – Electro & Sandman & Shocker & Vulture $79.99

CP270 – Movement & Range Tools $24.99

CP269 – Dice Pack $14.99

*All of these character packs have been pulled and/or unavailable. I’m estimating the price based on what I could find online and in most cases, if you DO find one of these out-of-print options, the seller has them for a mark-up vs MSRP.

Total Estimated Individual MSRP $259.77

Total Estimated Savings: $164.78

Not having to wait for one of these missing character packs to get another solo/duo release in a year? Priceless. Or, ya know, whatever a year or more of your time is worth. All jokes aside, just looking at the math you can see this is a great deal. I think this is best illustrated if you just remove all the kits besides the Electro, Sandman, Shocker, and Vulture. Now add in the dice and range tools. You still get a better deal than buying those things by $24.98.

This is like buying that character pack and a Dice Pack, and then getting everything else in the box for the same price. If you’re looking to pick up some missing miniatures or even start a new Spider-Foes Affiliation, I don’t think you’re going to find a better deal. And if you have the Earth’s Mightiest Core Set, then you’ve got Doc Ock, too. Now you can run a Sinister Six list also.

Spider-Foes Up For Pre-Order

The new Spider-Foes Starter Set is up for Pre-order and has a release date of October 31, 2025. Considering the Green Goblin is tossing pumpkin grenades, I feel like this is a happy coincidence.

Marvel: Crisis Protocol – Spider Foes Starter Set $94.99

A full roster of some of Spider-Man’s most iconic villains are set to send a jolt to the Spidey-Senses as they take to the streets of New York with one goal in mind: swat down the spider! This Starter Set contains all the miniatures, Character Stat Cards, and Team Tactic Cards for the following characters: Green Goblin, Kraven the Hunter, the Lizard, Mysterio, Shocker, Sandman, Carnage, Rhino, Vulture, and Electro.

Also includes Crisis Cards and all the tokens, measuring tools, and dice needed to play. Players interested in getting into Marvel: Crisis Protocol will find that Starter Sets are the perfect starting place for a single player.
