Warhammer: Quest – Manticore Knight Revealed
The Community voted and the Manticore Knight has been revealed for Warhammer: Quest – Darkwater.
Yesterday Games Workshop put the decision to the a vote. And the community responded. Now we get the first hero revealed from the upcoming Warhammer: Quest – Darkwater. Say hello to the Manticore Knight!
“Valoran believes himself to be the greatest mortal champion of the armies of Hammerhal Aqsha. For all his arrogance, the so-called Manticore Knight has a fair claim to that title.
And yet Valoran’s remarkable list of military achievements has been marred by recent disgrace. During the knight’s previous campaign, a chain explosion sent several splinters of raw Aqshian realmstone lancing through him. Instead of laying him low, it caused Valoran to enter an elemental rage that ended with him slaying not only the foe but also several comrades unlucky enough to get in his way. “
Warhammer: Quest – The Manticore Knight
Edmark Valoran, The Manticore Knight reminds me a lot of the Cities of Sigmar Marshals or a part of the Cavaliers — only without a mount.
Honestly, that makes sense as this character appears to be a fairly stereotypical knight. At least in Age of Sigmar terms. I do like the twin-tail comet details on this axe. I also like the lion head mixed with wings. That all ties into the Manticore-theme of this Knight.
I mentioned this before but I’m actually more curious about the baddies in the box vs the Heroes. There also appears to be more than a few characters yet to be revealed. Sure, we’ve got the four that were teased previously. But there appears to be more on the “sideboard” as well…
The previous Warhammer: Quest games had more than just four heroes to play with as well. Perhaps we DO have even more characters waiting in the wings to be revealed. At least we know the names of the other three characters.

Now then…who should GW reveal next? They’ve certainly got quite a few options.
