Warhammer Quest: Meet Bren Tylis, The Renegade Saint
Stealing artifacts of a dead saint is probably a bad idea…unless they are your ancestor and they are telling you to take’em!
Games Workshop is continuing to roll out the character introductions for Warhammer Quest: Darkwater. We’ve already met the Manticore Knight and a Grizzled Explorer. Now it’s time to meet the Renegade Saint herself!
“Bren Tylis is a hard-bitten mercenary, a roaming sword-for-hire who has fought across Ghyran and far beyond. She is also the heir to a far more glorious legacy. Bren’s ancestor was the Saint Yondara Tylis – a hero of legend who fell defending the Jade Abbey. Yondara’s bones were recovered and eventually laid to rest in a Sigmarite temple, along with pieces of her wargear.”

That’s not where Bren Tylis’ story ends though. She goes on to hear the call from her long dead ancestor to take up arms and fight against the evils that are encroaching. However, the good followers at the Abbey were …hesitant to give the relics over to a seemingly random sellsword. So Bren did what any other sane person would do in that situation. She got a lawyer, provided proof of lineage, got a permit to exhume the body, and reclaimed the relics for her family.
I’m just kidding. She broke in and stole the relics. Now she takes them into battle once more!
I do like the bit of backstory we get about this character. I’m still curious to see how she plays out on the tabletop, too. So far, we’ve seen three heroes and zero about their enemies. I’ve said this previously but I’m seriously curious to see who else is in the box.
All we’ve had to go on is this blurry pic and there’s some intriguing miniatures in this one. I think Nurgle fans are going to get a kick out of this one for sure!
Warhammer Quest: Darkwater is coming soon. I really hope we get some pirates in this one, too…
