Take off that red shirt, this week we’re exploring the far reaches of space with these Star Trek games and RPGs.

Space may be the final frontier. But you can bring a little bit of it to your game table with these Star Trek board games and TTRPGs.

Lower Decks: Buffer Time

I was honestly never really a Star Trek person growing up. It was my parents favorite thing, so I kept a little distance. Until I watched Lower Decks. That’s the show that got me to (slowly) start watching through the many years of Trek I’d been avoiding. Suffice to say, I feel very affectionately towards Lower Decks. And this card game brings all of the unserious, work avoidance, shenanigans comedy to a cooperative push-your-luck card game. Will you get your work done and earn that sweet sweet down time?

Explore strange new worlds, they said… but it’s hard to appreciate the wonders of the Galaxy when you’re stuck lubing the turbolifts. But hey, it’s not like Captain Freeman knows how long any of these assignments really take… In this push-your-luck card game, 2-6 players work together to complete their assignments while also making time for some well-earned rest and relaxation. Can you squeeze enough fun into your duty rotation before the bridge crew figures out what’s going on?

Tridimensional Chess

To me, this looks like a nightmare. I’m not even good at regular chess let alone this headache. But if you enjoy Star Trek, chess, and collectibles, this tridimensional chess set will probably hold a special place of honor in your house and frustrate your friends at game night.

This official recreation of the iconic game seen in Star Trek: The Original Series includes 32 die cast peices, a three-dementional board, and gameplay instructions. You’ll have to find your own Spock and Kirk equivalents to challenge.

Star Realms: Star Trek

This take on Star Realms lets you build your Starfleet, Klingon, Dominion, or Romulan fleet, and go head-to-head with one to three of your friends. Or you can join forces in a cooperative mode. An easy-to-learn game will have you playing in no time. But it’s still challenging, so you’ll be coming back and learning how to best take command of your chosen fleet over and over again.

An award winning game meets a world class brand! UVS Games is proud to bring this marriage of Star Realms, an award winning deck-building game originally released by Wise Wizards in 2014, and Star Trek, the sci fi series known and loved the world over, together in this new game! Featuring deep strategic play, Star Trek Star Realms is easy to learn yet hard to master.

Star Trek Adventures

If you’re looking for a TTRPG instead of a board or card game, Star Trek Adventures will bring you out into the final frontier where you’ll explore the vast unknown. What will you discover? Who will you meet? The galaxy is gigantic and immersive, and ready for the stories you want to tell.

The Star Trek Adventures roleplaying game takes you to the final frontier! From the 21st through to the 32nd century, join Starfleet, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, and countless other civilizations, and journey across the Star Trek universe with your crew. Explore strange new worlds, encounter fantastical alien life-forms, and engage in dramatic adventures in a detailed and immersive Galaxy. Tell your stories and unravel the mysteries of the unknown!

Once you’ve gotten the core rulebook, check out all of the available expansions that will let you explore deeper into the galaxy.

Star Trek Fluxx

Fluxx is one of those perfect card games. It’s silly, games are short, and everyone can play. If you need a crowd-pleasing but quick game to play, it’s perfect for ten-to-forty minutes of fun. And if you’re not sure about what to buy someone for the holidays, a Fluxx from their favorite series is always a solid pick. It’s also a great pick to play during family gatherings.

Star Trek Game – Set a course for new frontiers! With Star Trek figures you know and love! Take command of the Enterprise and face Creepers like Klingons and the Doomsday Machine! Star Trek Fluxx will take you where no card game has gone before!

Away Missions

Away Missions will put you on a mission to a wreckage where you’ll either complete your goals and defeat the Borg, or assimilate. This is a starter set, but there a number of other expansions and alternative away teams. So you can be on mission after mission for a long time.

Lead your away team into the aftermath of the Battle of Wolf 359, where the Borg have crushed the only fleet standing between Earth andassimilation. Lead Riker’s away team into the wreckage and search for information that will defeat the Borg to save Earth, or join Locutus of Borg and the Borg Collective to assimilate your opposition.
