Ed Greenwood is heading up four new books set in the Forgotten Realms, slated for release in 2026. Check ’em out!

Ed Greenwood is getting ready to once again dip his toes into the Forgotten Realms with four new books slated for a 2026 release. Set in that coziest of Forgotten Realms, the Dalelands, these books will round out that region of Faerun.

From the sinister secrets lurking in the deep woods that border them, to the “rural splendor” that the Dalelands are known for, you’ll find everything you could possibly want to right here in a suite of four books, headed up by Ed Greenwood himself in collaboration with Mythmakers, a small publishing team dedicated to “publishing high-quality speculative fiction in a variety of media.”

As Greenwood posted on his Patreon, the Dalelands are only the beginning. Realmsbound is a new “saga” set in Faerun. It will consist of a series of interconnected releases that explore the Forgotten Realms in greater depth than ever before.

Realmsbound: The Dalelands– Four Books Coming Next Year

And it all kicks off with the Dalelands. Starting off with a comprehensive and fittingly titled book: Guide to the Dalelands. This richly detailed regional guide expands upon the material in Adventures in Faerûn, offering a closer look at each individual Dale and equipping you with everything you need to bring the region to life at your table.

Meanwhile Inn Sites of the Dalelands looks more at inns and NPCs and all manner of social encounters you might have in the Dalelands. Consisting of inns and local flavor, you’ll find rules for new mini-games, as well as details on local holidays, festivals, and regional tournaments.

Then there’s Delves of the Dalelands, with its guide to all the dungeons and delves and other deep, dark dangers you might find. If you’re looking for dungeon crawls or other dangerous locales, this is the book for you.

And it caps off with Adventures in the Dalelands. As you might imagine, this is an anthology of adventures (from a wide variety of designers) that takes you through level 12 and sets the stage for beyond. All in all these books will help you explore the Forgotten Realms like never before

“Bring the Dalelands to your table with RealmsBound’s first series, containing one detailed regional guide and supplements designed to help you craft unforgettable stories. Whether your players are defending a remote dale, unraveling old alliances, or uncovering new mysteries, you’ll have everything you need to run a campaign steeped in lore and grounded in the quiet tension and rural splendor that makes the Dalelands so enduringly powerful.”

And of course, this is only the beginning. But you can look for the first book towards the beginning of 2026, with the rest to follow on a quarterly basis.

What could possibly happen in a realm of green growing things and pastoral idylls? Only one way to find out!
