Games Workshop: Christmas Shipping & Cutoff Dates Announced
This is just a friendly PSA. Get your Games Workshop orders in by these dates if you want them in time for Christmas.
Shipping dates are weird and when you’re dealing with global shipping things can get ever stranger. That’s why I’m glad Games Workshop puts this chart out ahead of time to give folks plenty of heads up. If you want to get a big ol’ pile of plastic under your Christmas Tree then you’ll want to place your orders before the dates listed below.
“These dates differ by region – please note that these are the UPS shipping dates, and that your local mail service may have slightly different dates.”
Again, this is for all you last minute shoppers out there (myself included). If you need to order by mail (basically ordering from GW’s webstore) you’ll want to make sure you get those orders in before the dates above. Otherwise, you’ll have to test your luck and visit your local Warhammer Store to see if they have what you’re hunting for in stock.
There’s also the independent stores out there, aka your FLGS! I like to shop at my local FLGS as much as I can to help support the local scene. But that’s not an option for everyone.
Gift Cards Don’t Take Long To Ship!
Personally, I’m glad GW puts out this announcement. Frankly, I kind of wanted to see it sooner. I worked a customer facing job that took orders directly. And I can still remember the disappointment in people’s voices when they were trying to place an order a few days before Christmas in hopes it would arrive to be under their tree. So please plan accordingly.
GW does have a “gift guide” available if you’re looking for ideas. But, if you’re absolutely clueless, a gift card for Warhammer is a much better gift than some random box from an army the gamer in your life doesn’t play. Please DON’T buy a random box of Warhammer. Just go with the a Virtual Gift Voucher.
