More ‘Discworld’ Is On The Way – Board Game & RPG Coming Soon From Modiphius
Incredible news for fans of Modiphius’ recent Discworld RPG, the publisher announced a new batch of Discworld games slated for 2026.
You just can’t keep Anh-Morpork down. Mostly because it’ll fight its way back up no matter what you season it with. But today, Modiphius, makers of RPGs like Star Trek Adventures, Fallout: the Roleplaying Game, and of course the new Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork RPG, announced that they were making more. Making more Discworld, specifically, but making more Discworld means making more RPGs – and board games now, too.
New Discworld RPG And Board Games Slated For 2026
Today, Modiphius announced a new spate of games set in Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld, coming to Gamefound and Kickstarter in 2026. This marks another foray into board games for Modiphius, whose library seems to be ever more expansive. At this rate it’s only a matter of time before they dip a toe in the video game business, too. But for now let’s talk about the upcoming Discworld games.
It all kicks off with a new Discworld board game coming to Gamefound in Q1 of 2025. Currently titled Discworld: Readers Digested, the new game is a licensed edition of Blue Moon City by Reiner Knizia. It’s a reskin of the existing game with Discworld theming and “brand-new added expansion content.”
But what really gets me excited is the Discworld RPG news. First up, the retail release of Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork. This is the wide release of the successfully Kickstarted campaign you might have been a part of. With more than $3 million raised, the odds are good. You can look for this at your FLGS in Q2 of 2026, with a digest-sized core rulebook and an “as-yet unpublished adventure” set in Ankh-Morpork.
And then of course there’s the expansion. After the rousing success of the first campaign, Modiphius hopes to broaden the horizons of the Discworld, exploring even more further afield than the Big Wahoonie. The new Discworld RPG expansion is titled Discworld: Adventures in Lancre and Uberwald. Those who are familiar with the stories know this means werewolves, vampires, and Witches. If you’re wondering why only one of those is capitalized, just go read Lords & Ladies and then you’ll know. You won’t catch me not giving Granny Weatherwax the proper respect.

Of course this isn’t the only stuff Modiphius has planned. There’s also going to be a Discworld card game, where you play a bunch of hapless assassins who have been given the unfortunate contract of trying to kill Sam Vimes. I imagine this is a game about dying horribly in imaginative ways on the rooftops of Ankh-Morpork.
Suffice it to say, things are looking good for the Disc. So check back in 2026 for more when the Discworld campaigns launch on their various crowdfunding platforms.
In the meantime, probably time to go start reading Guards! Guards! again. It’s never a bad idea!
