Huge LEGO ‘Game Of Thrones’ Westeros Map Has 125,000 Pieces – Explore The Seven Kingdoms
This massive LEGO map of Game of Thrones‘ Westeros includes thousands of pieces and mimics the start of the show.
Game of Thrones was THE cultural fantasy juggernaut of the 2010s. Though it’s lost some of its luster, it remains a popular setting, especially with the addition of new shows such as House of the Dragon and the upcoming A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. There are also, of course, the books, a new one of which will be coming out any day now, any day now….
Because of all this, the setting for the show and books remains incredibly popular. Westeros is the main continent where the story mostly takes place. From the very start of the series, people have been enamored by maps of the setting. There are a number of great ones out there, but perhaps none are as striking as the mechanical great map of Westeros found in the opening to the TV series. It’s proven to be an enduring part of the setting and loved by the fandom.
All you have to do is watch the opening to be given a great sense of where the show takes place, and any fan will instantly get hyped.
LEGO Great Map of Westeros
This version of the map was brought to stunning LEGO life by builder Anthony Ducre. He’s a great builder who has built plenty of other amazing MOCs, and you can find more for him here. This build, in particular, really plays to the grandeur of GOT, accurately recreating the map with around 125,000 pieces. The whole build is 3.2m x 1.2m – or in American really honking big!
The map itself is a very impressive build, recreating the landscapes and locations of the show. However, in keeping with the opening, it’s also mechanical. A dozen of the castles/cities have moving parts mimicking their actions in the show’s opening. It’s just such a super cool idea, and the details here are awesome. The effort and technical skill are off the charts.
The sides of the map are patterned after the Crypts of Winterfell. Rather than just being dead (or undead) space, Anthony added a lot of details there as well. Custom house sigils help bring it to life. Meanwhile, the figures on the sides are based on characters from the show. There are some really fun little easter eggs there if you take a deep look.

Build Your Own Fantasy Castle
LEGO doesn’t make Game of Thrones sets (yet). If you want to build a fantasy castle complete with a giant dragon, this D&D inspired set is for you. It includes a dungeon and a tower for the giant Cinderhowl red dragon to perch on. There’s also a tavern with a removable roof, so you can see inside to the upper level. Plus, six LEGO minifigures (some with multiple head options) of classes/races and brick-built classic D&D monsters—a beholder, an owlbear, a displacer beast, and a gelatinous cube.
Once built, you can use the castle in a D&D Beyond campaign that was created just for this set.
