LEGO: Celebrate 15 Years Of Ninjago With New Old Town Set

Ninjago is hitting a major milestone this year – celebrate with this easter egg filled set with a whopping 23 minifigs.

LEGO introduced Ninjago in 2011. The ninjas practicing the martial art of Spinjitzu have since inspired inspired 500+ sets, 200+ television episodes, a Hollywood movie, theme parks and video games. Their global fan base is made of millions that love the characters, stories, and world. Next year marks the 15th anniversary of the line and LEGO is releasing fantastic sets to celebrate.

Ninjago – The Old Town (71861)

Explore the part 15 years of Ninjago! The modular set includes a front gate, post office and workshop, 3-story tower and lookout that can be arranged in multiple ways for max playability. It’s also chock full of nostalgic easter eggs from past sets and the TV series.

Minifigures can hop a zip line and operate a working crane. Build a tea cart, a woodshop, cherry blossom trees, an exploding wall, a hidden entrance, ninja artifacts and a secret hideout. It even has a statue of the First Spinjitzu Master.

The kit comes with the most minifigs in a Ninjago set ever. You’ll get 23 minifigure characters from the TV show including all seven of the original ninja and three collectible minifigures on a special anniversary display stand.

Rogue’s Mech Dragon Rider (71843)

Recreate tales from Season 3 with ninja warriors Rogue and Arin, and the villainous Rox and a Spectral Dragonian Warrior minifigs. The mech has moving arms and legs, and its chest opens to house a minifig and a sword. The dragon has movable wings, head, jaw, legs, and tail.

The Temple Bounty (71848)

The latest Ninjago ship’s sails open and close, and it has removable roofs to reveal an interior complete with a sushi bar and a hidden computer in the main cabin. Go on an adventure with Zane, Cole, Wyldfyre, Nya, Rogue, and bad guy Zarkt that come with accessories from the show, including a shared translucent sword used by the ninjas to reveal a secret map on the captain’s table.

Fire Knight Mech (71846)

When on display, this caped-wearing mech holds a spear ready to take out an ancient monster emerging from the waves. Take the mech off its stand, and you have an action figure to recreate stories from Legends Monstrosity series.

Tournament Temple City (71814)

Expand Old Town with this temple. Build on the adventures in Season 2 with this set packed with playability. Below a multi-tiered pagoda and waterfall is a watermill that turns to move two battle platforms; plus there are falling rocks activated by a lantern, hidden storage, and a secret door. The set also includes a posable dragon and an airship for the minifigs to ride in.
