Marvel: Crisis Protocol – Five More Characters Marvel Rivals Needs To Add
With Rogue making her debut and Deadpool teased, here’s a few more character I hope Marvel Rivals is considering to add.
Marvel has a TON of characters and lots of them have showed up in games before. I’ve been sorting through my list of Marvel: Crisis Protocol Characters and found a few more that I think would be a good fit to transpose to Marvel Rivals. I’ve done this before with the three classes: Vanguards, Duelists, and Strategists.
I just want to add more Characters to my MCP/Rivals Crossover roster!
But this past weekend we had Rogue added and Deadpool teased at the Game Awards for Rivals. So that made me think of a few other characters I want to see added.
Before I dive in I wanted to mention that I’m going to be avoiding any characters that may or may not be on leaked. So if there’s an “obvious” character that’s not on this list, that’s probably why. With that stated let’s get in there!
She-Hulk
Think She-Hulk is a pretty great option to add. Sure, we already have Hulk in Rivals, but I think She-Hulk could come with a different powerset. I don’t know if they should do the whole “de-powered” and turned into her “regular” self mechanic. However, I do think she’d make a great Vanguard option. And if she doesn’t have a team-up with Hulk that would be a missed opportunity!
Mr. Sinister
Mister Sinister screams “strategist” to me. Rivals could ALWAYS use more options in that character slot. With all the mutagenic and gene research he does Sinister would be an excellent option with his possible buffing/debuffing. I’m sure that the designers could do this character right. Sinister is a cool/strange character that I’m sure he’d be well received.
Mystique
I know with Rogue in the house and her power-stealing mechanic and Loki with his character copying ultimate, the space is kind of crowded for Mystique. That said, if Team Fortress 2 can have the Spy be a character, why can’t we get Mystique? I DO think that having her copy a character outright wouldn’t be good…especially if she get’s their ultimate, too. But maybe she could do something to copy a character but only while she’s not attacking. That would let her sneak to the backline and then *poof* start attacking.
Drax
How is Drax the Destroyer not in the game yet?! We’ve got a bunch of Guardians of the Galaxy already. Could Drax be a Vanguard or a Duelist? Honestly, I could see him go either direction. Actually, looking at the picture above, all FOUR of those characters could slot into Rivals…but that’s another topic.
Drax, with his dual knives, should be a pretty scary opponent if he can close the gap. And if he has some sort of leap that let’s him get a lot of movement/height would be amazing. Or at least let’s him snag flyers. Cause nothing goes over his head…
Enchantress
You know, was thinking we need some more magic-wielding characters. I was thinking of Clea as we’ve got Doctor Strange, but I think the Enchantress could be a good fit. She’s Asguardian so that’s more banter with them. The only catch is that her powers are also green. I dunno how Hela would feel about that. But there’s also Skurge and Heimdall as options, too. Just saying it would be cool to run a full Asguardian team at some point!
So many good options…What characters do you want to see added next?
