Atomic Mass Games has an updated kit for the new Star Wars: Legion – Kashyyyk Wookiee Warriors and they sent me a review copy to dive into. This kit is packing quite a punch with loads of options. Plus updated cards for the different units you can use. So let’s take a look inside to see what’s behind all that fur!
This kit has options for both Galactic Republic and The Rebel Alliance armies. Which is really just the cards. Oh and optional assembly options, too.
Kashyyyk Wookiee Warriors Unboxed
The box has the same packaging for just about all the other AMG products we’ve seen. The sprues, bases, and cards are all in their own bags. You get 6 bases in this set so you’ll be able to build a total of 6 Wookiee Warriors. That said, there’s a quite a few different options. We’ll get to that below. But for now, let’s see those cards!
For the cards, you do get a play set for each of the supported languages. I set up the English versions for the text and added the Spanish version for the art and the points. As you can also tell, there’s both Galactic Republic and Rebel Alliance cards. There’s also two different units to build and they have different key words and weapons by default. There’s also the Wookiee Chieftain you can build from this box, too. This is a very versatile box and I could see a reason to pick-up two (or three) of them if you wanted to build all the options.
As far as the actual sprues this is really a 2×2 set. There are the two big frames which are identical and the two smaller frames which are also identical. There’s also a bunch of various head options and weapon options to choose from, too. You can really customize this unit to your liking.
The studio versions had the ranged weapons built out for this unit but there’s also the Ryyk Blades, too. From what I understand that version is quite mean in close combat. The trick is how do you get them in there to do their damage. Wookiees aren’t exactly small targets on the tabletop after all.
However you want to build them the good news is that they are available right now online and in stores. So go recruit those Wookiee Warriors to your cause!

Wookiees are an imposing species found on Kashyyyk. During the Separatist uprising, Wookiees sided with the Galactic Republic to stop the invading Separatists. They would later restore the Republic as part of the Rebel Alliance. They can really tear the arms of the enemy when they get into close combat!
