Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War IV – Here Come The Dark Angels
The fate of Kronus is once again in your hands. The Blood Ravens are back but there’s more Marines on the way in Dawn of War IV!
Games Workshop is working with Deep Silver and KING Art Games to bring a new installment of the Dawn of War series to the video game front. Slated for a 2026 release, we’re seeing the series return to it’s classic RTS format. However, there’s some new “players” that have entered the chat…
From the video Description:
“The release of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV draws closer! Check out the new story trailer now, and find out which faction will be gracing your screens alongside the Orks and Blood Ravens.”
Dawn of War IV – Dark Angels Arrive
That’s right folks, if you couldn’t tell from the trailer there’s actually a LOT of new things coming to the game. Obviously the Dark Angels are making land fall. Personally, I think it’s just an excuse to bring in a Primarch (not that I’m complaining). But there’s more than that coming to the game.
“You’ll get to command both the Blood Ravens and the Dark Angels in different campaign missions as the story progresses. Leading the sons of the Lion are Company Master Astoran and Chaplain Ezrael. Well versed in large-scale battles, the Dark Angels bring millennia of experience and unique tactics to the biggest brawls in Dawn of War IV. Rumour has it that even the Primarch himself has taken an interest in the fight for Kronus…”
So not only will we get to play as Blood Ravens and Dark Angels during the different campaign missions but it also looks like there are new enemies to battle, too. Obviously the Necrons are there along with a new Chronomancer. But did you notice the two different Ork Warlords battling it out? We’ve got the Classic Ork Boyz vs the newer Beast Snagga Orks. That could be a pretty fun campaign curveball for sure!
I also don’t want to discount the Adeptus Mechanicus at play here. You know that their poking around beneath the surface is going to be both the problem and part of the solution, right? C’mon — it’s just how the Ad Mech rolls!
If you want to keep up to date with this one, you can wishlist it on Steam now. Again, it’s slated for a 2026 release. I really hope they get this one right!
I’ve got my ticket to the hypetrain but I don’t think it’s left the station just yet…
