The King’s Mercy
In The King’s Mercy, players are asked to travel the frozen countryside and survive everything from nature to fearsome creatures. But where this game will get interesting is when it asks you to sit down with your (or your character’s) moral code and start making some difficult choices. It’s designed for 3-5 characters at levels 4-5 and takes 3-4 hours to play.
Your party is hired to transport desperately needed supplies through 40 miles of deadly winter wilderness to the isolated village of Northhaven. Both the garrison and civilian population are starving. You’ll battle blizzards, navigate avalanche zones, face desperate bandits, and survive encounters with deadly creatures.
But the real challenge begins when you arrive and deliver the sealed letter you’ve been carrying. Inside are the king’s orders, and they will force you to decide who deserves to live and who must die.
