It’s time to roll the dice on new releases! Come check out this week’s batch of brand-new 5e compatible tabletop adventures and supplements.

Social Encounter Overhaul

A huge part of TTRPGs is how you interact with the rest of the people in the world. From your fellow party members to NPCs, role-playing is an important aspect of the role-playing game. And this book encourages an immersive, roleplay-first form of gameplay through plug-and-play mechanics that will work with your already running campaign.

Whether you’re talking your way out of a prison cell or negotiating with a demon prince, this overhaul brings depth and choice to every interaction. We have “roleplay-first rules that don’t break immersion.” Everything’s built for plug-and-play use in your existing campaign; no homebrew expertise is required. We designed this system not as a single block, but as a modular structure composed of 11 optional mechanics that can be attached or removed at will, allowing you to create diverse systems as you please.

From the Village Vault

Ancient deities, outlaws, and brotherly feuds, these adventures have it all. And with a huge variety in skill levels, simple prep, and only a page worth of exposition, any of these stories would work as field trips for your current game with lots of room for improv and expansion.

Fend off invading demons, fight the chosen of an ancient deity, participate in the world’s most awkward birthday party, get caught up in a territorial dispute between rival brothels, or try to survive in a desperate shootout with badland outlaws.

Featuring complete standalone adventures for 5E Dungeons & Dragons, designed for characters level 1–10. Easy to run with simple prep, each adventure fits on a single page.

Shadows of the Underworld

This is an adventure full of moral questions, difficult questions, and decisions that will have a real impact on how the story plays out. This quest will be difficult and dangerous. But the conclusion will be so much more rewarding knowing that you had an effect on how it all played out.

Descend into a living underworld where every ally can turn, every relic has a price, and every choice reshapes the endgame. Shadows of the Underworld is a system-agnostic, d20-friendly campaign built for groups who want hard fights, moral knots, and multiple, radically different conclusions, ranging from righteous closure to glorious corruption.

Low-Level Magic Items

RPGs are full of high-level magical items and all-powerful macguffins. But what about some low-level trinkets? This book has items with magical abilities and boosts… but small ones. Everything will be useful, but (probably) nothing is going to break the game.

One of the best parts of an RPG is fun loot, but in many games there just aren’t that many exciting items at lower levels. This list attempts to fill that gap with items scaled for lower levels to provide some fun equipment without unbalancing things too badly (though most of these have not been specifically play-tested, so use with appropriate caution).

Use as is, modify, or provide inspiration for your own items. The items consist of a smattering of fun effects, modest ability score increases, and some items that introduce trade-offs (increase 1 score but decrease another).

Betrayal in the Gilded Halls

Travel to the depths of Gray Barrow Tundra, where you’ll place yourself squarely in the middle of a feud between criminal brothers. Seek out the magical door, and see if what lies beyond is worth betraying your own blood for.

In Betrayal in the Gilded Halls, a group of level-5 adventurers embarks on a perilous journey into the depths of Gray Barrow Tundra. They are hired by one of the founders of a criminal gang. This co-founder was betrayed by his brother and set out toward a mythical dungeon that has been closed for centuries. Its magical door has been foreseen to open soon. Blinded by vengeance and greed, the betrayed brother and the characters set out on this race against time to reach the dungeon’s soon-to-open entrance.

The ancient dungeon houses a fabled effigy of a magical stork. Legend has it that it can bestow great power upon those who kneel by it. Many seek this statue of the sacred stork to earn its power. Alas, the characters and the two brothers shall soon be confronted with a terrible truth. Not everyone is worthy of receiving this blessing. Those who dare kneel by the stork without being of good heart shall pay a ruinous, life-threatening price.
