Horus Heresy: ‘Transfigured’ Daemon Primarchs – Who Are We Missing

So far we’ve got Fulgrim Transfigured for the Horus Heresy and Angron is on the way. Are more on the way?

Hopefully you saw the news about Angron Transfigured coming out (finally). It’s been a year so this has been quite a wait. But this got me thinking, he’s the second Daemon Primarch to get the Transfigured Treatment for the Horus Heresy. But do the other traitor Primarchs quality for the same Horus Heresy Character Series treatment?

More Daemon Primarchs Transfigured?

Obviously these two come to mind as a “next” option for the Daemon Primarchs. They already have 40k equivalents. So it would be curious to see them at their “freshly turned” point. I think both of these characters would be very interesting to see at that stage in their Daemonhood.

Then again, I’m not sure the timing on their transformations works out. That’s a running theme you’ll see in this list. That said, there’s more Traitor Primarchs on the list.

Alpharius (Omegon)

Alpharius/Omegon never became Daemon Primarch(s). And (depending on which side you believe) they never became Daemon Primarchs because they are still fighting for the Imperium. Look…I’m not going to get into all the conspiracy theories involving the Alpha Legion. Just know they don’t have a Daemon Primarch that has a “Transfigured” moment. At least….not yet!

Perturabo

Perturabo did become a Daemon Primarch. He ascended to Daemonhood after the Heresy when the Iron Cage incident happened. The sacrifice that elevated him to Daemonhood was the gene-seed of the Imperial Fists that fell during that siege

That said, I don’t know if that qualifies him for a Daemon Primarch Transfigured miniature for the Horus Heresy range. Technically, since it happened after the Horus Heresy. On top of that we still don’t have him in 40k anyhow. If GW ever needs to make another dump truck of money, they just need to release the Iron Warriors and their Daemon Primarch.

Lorgar

The Minister of Chaos Absolute himself, Lorgar has TOTALLY gone full Daemon Primarch. Unfortunately, this is another issue of timing. He acended to Daemonhood sometime after the events of the Horus Heresy. So yeah, we might not get a Transfigured version of him for the Horus Heresy.

Funny side note: Apparently Daemon Primarch Logar had to battle with a Warp-twisted version of Corax. Maybe we’ll get a LOYALIST “Daemon” Primarch one day.

Konrad Curze

No. Just no. Curze never became a Daemon Primarch so it wouldn’t make sense. Plus he’s not been seen since his “assassination.” I am okay with the theory that he could be alive. But that seems pretty far fetched.

Well, that about sums it up. Unfortunately, if you were hoping to see more Transfigured Daemon Primarchs for the Horus Heresy line, it might be a while. Or maybe GW will drop the Horus Heresy Character tag and make them for 40k because why not!

Iron Warriors Daemon Primarch + 40k Release = Dump Truck of money. Do it GW. Do it.
