Both 40K and The Old World will soon see rising tides of Chaos. Plus, the Horus Heresy gets Cataphractii Termintors.

Chaos is on the rise! Next week sees the pre-order release of a battleforce box for Chaos forces – the Emperor’s Children, Thousand Sons, Death Guard, and World Eaters (with some daemonic assistance) surge into the battlefields with ruinous power backing them. And in the Old World, the Marauders of Chaos ride their terrible steeds into battle. All this, next week!

Chaos Unleashed Next Week

Kicking if off are four different battleforce boxes, one for each of the Ruinous Powers, starting with Khorne. In this box, you’ll get A Lord on Juggernaut who can also be built as Lord Invocatus, a Master of Executions, 6 mounted Bloodcrushers, 10 Khorne Berzerkers, and 20 Bloodletters.

In the Tzeentch box, the forces of Change are marshaled. Here, you’ll find an Infernal Master, accompanied by 3 Exalted Sorcerers a Mutalith Vortex Beast, and 10 Scarab Occult Terminators.

Embrace Greatfather Nurgle’s gifts with a bilious new box. The diseased horde is led by Lord Felthius, a Lord of Contagion, and 3 Blightlord Terminators, as well as 3 Deathshroud Terminators, 3 Foetid Bloat-drones, and 20 Poxwalkers.

The Tzeentch box is all about excess. Excessive style, excessive weaponry, and excessive noise, which mostly takes the form of 12 Noise Marines, 20 Infractors, which can alternately be built as Tormentors, all led by a Daemon Prince.

Meanwhile in The Old World, Chaos rides again. Behold, Chaos Marauder Horsemen, ready to rampage down from Norsca. In this box, you’ll get 10 plastic Marauder Horsemen that can be built as a single large unit or two groups of 5, each with their own Champion, musician, and standard bearer.

And even on foot, the Chaos Marauders are still a force to be reckoned with. This kit comes with 20 plastic Marauders that can be in a big horde or two groups of 10. And they can all be equipped with either a hand weapon and shield, a great weapon, or a flail.

In the ancient days of the Horus Heresy, you can find two different sets of Cataphractii Terminators. Each comes in a set of 6, but you can get guys armed with power mauls and volkite chargers (and one reaper autocannon), or combi-bolter and power first (with one heavy flamer).

Or if you want to get up close and personal, you’ll want to call on the Breacher Squad. This kit of 10 Space Marines gives each Astartes a heavy boarding shield as well as a one-handed bolter with a single graviton gun and a lascutter to round out specialized weapons.

All this, next week!
