If you’re looking to start a new Spearhead force the new Lumineth Realm-lords – Hurakan Vanguard looks like a pretty good deal.

There’s a new Spearhead coming for the Lumineth Realm-lords. It was up for pre-order over a week ago but it’s slated to hit stores this weekend (the 21st). I was doing a double take at this new box because it’s packed with quite a few kits. That had me curious about what sort of a deal this one would turn into. So let’s do the math and find out.

Contents:

1x Hurakan Windmage $43.50

1x Hurakan Spirit of the Wind (which can alternatively be built as Sevireth, Lord of the Seventh Wind) $65

5x Hurakan Windchargers $73.50

10x Vanari Auralan Wardens $65

Total Individual MSRP: $247

Total Savings: $97

This box is saving you almost $100. I know GW kits are expensive but that’s a pretty good deal. What I also like about this kit is that the Hurakan Spirit of the Wind has an alternate build. The Windchargers and Wardens are also kits that having two of is great for list building. The only downside is you might not want two Windmages…but they would make for good trade-bait considering they are out of stock right now.

The point is that getting a second Spearhead is a nice way to expand a fledgling Lumineth Realm-lords army. Also, because this is a Spearhead, you’re going to be able to find it in stock at most stores. Or they can order it for you specifically. That said, with the new Battletome on the way and this new Spearhead it’s going to be a good time to start a new army.

I will also say that the Lumineth Realm-lords are not an easy army to play. But if you can master their rules and how their rune magic works you’ll have a potent army in your collection. Also, if you’ve ever seen a full LRL army that’s well painted, it’s really impressive looking! Personally, I think this army is one of the best looking ones on the tabletop hands down.
