I think someone is about to get a face full of rock. Or maybe a shell. This Rumor Engine is predicting some hurt inbound from Games Workshop.

Have you ever played Mario Cart and gotten the warning for that ominous blue shell. That’s what this new Rumor Engine feels like. Someone’s destruction is imminent and this is the warning. But I suppose that’s just what you can expect from another Tuesday and a brand new Rumor Engine teaser from Games Workshop.

The arms race is something of a marathon in the Mortal Realms, but when the chips are down and your fancy gunpowder/warpstone/aether-gold/wishes-powered firearm fails to fire, there’s no beating the classics. You can’t misfire a rock.

Rumor Engine – Rocks & Shells

Okay, so what are we looking at here? Well, clearly this is someone holding onto a chunk of rock that’s got a shell imbedded inside. The next question is “who’s holding that rock?” I have a sneaking suspicion about that one actually. This person has three digits and a thumb. That seems familiar…

Yep. Megagargants have three fingers. But so do the other Gargants as well.

It would be interesting to see if GW is going to redo the smaller Gargants into a new kit as opposed to slap in another sprue for the Megagarant kit. Regardless, now that I’ve called this out I really can’t unsee this as any other kit. What I’m mostly concerned with is the scale of the rock now. I really can’t tell if it’s a Megagargant or a Gargant. Either way, I think it will be a nice update.

But between the two, I’m hoping it’s an updated Gargant kit. The current one is still serviceable but it’s getting up there in age. So an update for that one might be in order. Or Destruction in this case…

On the flip side, if you’ve got another suggestion for what this one could be I’m open to it. Maybe it’s just a three-fingered monster that’s man-sized and about ready to throw rocks. I don’t know of many units that have gotten such detailed hands. Particularly their fingernails. But again, I’m open to theories. If you’ve got one drop us a line in the comments!

We’ve got a Megagargant and regular Gargant. What’s next? A Minigargant?
