The art collection is expanding with a gorgeous new set, plus some IDEAS sets I’d like to see join it. They just need your vote!

The latest addition to the art line is this gorgeous 3-D take on Claude Monet’s famous water lilies. This set captures the artist’s masterful brushwork with a variety of LEGO pieces, including butterflies, flowers, and fruit – chosen to reflect the painter’s love of nature. The trees, bridge, and iconic lilies are presented in vibrant spring colors that will bring some tranquility to your space. It can be mounted on a wall (here’s to hoping someone makes a protective case for it) or displayed with the included stand.

  • Claude Monet – Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies (31220)
  • 3,179 pieces
  • 20 in. (51 cm) high, 16 in. (41 cm) wide, and 1.5 in. (4 cm) deep
  • Available March 4th

Vote For More Art Sets On IDEAS

Piet Mondrian – Composition With Red, Blue And Yellow

Mondrian was one of the titans of 20th-century abstract art. This is one of his best-known pieces, created in the 1930s. His vision is translated into extremely minimalist thick lines and simple colors on a square canvas, reducing reality to abstraction to create universal beauty. This set is 20×20 studs and features a mix of textures to add some depth to the brick-built painting.

René Magritte – Son of Man

This well-known surrealist painting was introduced to the world in 1964. The set contains 2,100 pieces and measures 52 x 68 studs. From the creator…

René Magritte is quoted as saying, “There is an interest in that which is hidden and which the visible does not show us.” Looking from the other [side] of the apple he easily defines the interest of seeing a person’s face and how the expressions are lost behind the apple. The painting clearly expresses that standing face to face, our curiosity of “Who is this person?”, is interesting and seductive. The surrealist painter gives so much insight in reguard to our depth of perception being blocked by things right infront of our face and the allure the unknown can create.

Edward Hopper – Nighthawks

Hopper is a personal favorite, so I had to include this brick-built version that takes the oil painting of a New York diner and its lonely patrons into a new dimension using some novel building techniques.

Theophile Steinlen – Tournée du Chat Noir

The famous poster was created to advertise the traveling act of performers, which began at the first modern cabaret in the bohemian Montmartre district of Paris. This LEGO version of the French Art Nouveau poster contains over 2,700 pieces and stands at 20 inches tall. It also adds depth by layering details of the original to create a 3D display in brilliant reds and yellows.
