Add a little danger to your grid and let your players know what’s coming by 3D printing some of these infamous D&D monsters.

It’s not enough that your players know what’s attacking them on the field. They should see how big and close it is, too. And you can let them know with these 3D printable D&D monsters.

Mimics STL

Mimics are one of the most fun monsters to play with. They can be anywhere and anything, and it’s always a fun surprise when an innocent-looking item suddenly has teeth. Well, maybe not fun for your players, but fun for the DM. This STL pack comes with six different mimics, erupting from six different everyday items. So your players will have to be on their toes, even when they’re not digging through treasure chests.

Displacer Beast STL

A displayer beast mini is one that could be very fun to play with on a map grid. It could constantly hop on and off of the map, and move around unnaturally in real time. And while this may be one of the monsters who’s location a DM would want to keep hidden a little more often, there is an amount of tension and terror from players knowing that it is definitely somewhere but not being able to pinpoint where that somewhere is.

Glow in the Dark Filament

Should your monsters glow in the dark? Maybe not. And most of the time, nobody would even know that they were made with glowing filament. But in those very few instances where a glow in the dark monster will be a very fun party trick to show off at the game table. 3D printing minis is supposed to be fun. And nothing feels like silly nostalgic fun quite like small, glow in the dark toys.

Kobolds STL

Attacking your players with a single kobold? It’s an easy, low stakes, and low level encounter. But with a whole army of kobolds? It’s probably still not a huge problem for more experienced adventurers. Kobolds are one of the most famous and popular low-level monsters. And even if your players are a little past the point where kobolds would cause them any trouble, they are great minions and annoyances. Luckily, you can print a whole bunch of annoyances and minions.

3D Printer Tool Kit

3D printing is fun, and a lot of the hobby is set-it-and-forget-it. But sometimes your prints and your printer alike need some TLC. Tweezers, files, putty knives, and a nozzle cleaning tool will help you keep your printing running well and your prints looking neat and tidy.

Tarrasque STL

I love the idea of having a gigantic print for a gigantic monster. When you get to the house of whoever is hosting that session, you can offer inspiration to whoever helps you get the big box with the big monster our of your car. It’s a power move. The turrasque is one of D&D’s biggest and most dangerous monsters. And this one is designed to print to scale. Good luck to your players!
