Goatboy’s Grimdark Armylist – Matt Evans Hyper Adaption Tyranids
This past weekend saw a really different Tyranid army at a giant 40K event in Colorado with the Colorado Cup with 189 players. Take a look at this cool list!
This past weekend saw one of the bigger events in Colorado with the Colorado Cup which was a 189 player event. It was streamed by the decent dude Joe from Wargames Live if you want to watch any of the games. The Tyranid player who got to the finals was Matt Evans – another decent dude I have hung out with in the past. It is wild to think of how long this guy has played Nids at such a high level of play.
The finals saw him run into the rock style list that was just meant to wreck his Primary beating army. It was a rough match up and Matt did as best he could – but trying to chew thru so many Terminators is just a nightmare especially if they are just sitting on two objectives and daring the Nids to come at them. Still this is a cool list Matt has written up that pushes the Primary score with waves of controlling bugs and just methods of hitting the opponent all of the place. I am sure in anyone else’s hands this army would be hard to win with but Matt is the true hive mind.

Matt Evans Hyper Adaptions Tyranids Tactics
This army is just waves of tough threats that can easily swarm a point and keep it held. The Norns can get up there and be a pain to remove as well as just so much stuff that can get into the way. It is a pretty neat list and just built to deal with all the big monsters we are seeing in the C’tans and other fun meanies. It is pretty cool Matt got all the way to the end and it is pretty awesome with an out of the norm Tyranid list.
