Marvel: Crisis Protocol Alliances – AdeptiCon Previews
Atomic Mass Games held their studio roadmap previews from AdeptiCon and we have more info on Marvel: Crisis Protocol Alliances!
It sure seems like AMG is going full steam ahead with Marvel: Crisis Protocol Alliances. There were some big announcements and follow-ups from their big announcement early this year. So let’s get right into it!
The F.A.S.T Minis is the new push-fit miniature build option coming to their product lines. It stands for Fusion Assembly System. The “S” and the “T” are coming out of “SysTem” incase you were wondering. Anyhow, we got some more looks at the cool stuff included in the first Box: Night of the Goblin.
Again, a lot of this was already covered in previous announcements. I’ve even gone more in depth with what we know about the game as well. This is basically going to be a nice entry point to MCP and should be a fun board game beat’em-up for the whole family to play. Games should take about 2-ish hours in total. Also, the MCPA sets are going to be interchangeable as well. Meaning you can mix and match heroes. Plus you can have those heroes take on the other villains as you wish, too.
And yes, the character sculpts are usable in MCP. They are alternate sculpts which is great if you prefer one sculpt over another. Now, on to the newer stuff.
Attack of the Sentinels
AMG already teased that the Attack of the Sentinels was the next boxed set coming. And we knew it was going to be Sentinels vs Mutants. But now we know even more.
We’ve got a look at the F.A.S.T. minis for the X-Men! And they look great!
I’m really liking Rogue and Gambit’s alternate sculpts. I’m also looking forward to painting up another Wolverine! Cyclops is still doing the “tap the visor” thing but I’m okay with that. I think they all look cool.
As for the baddies…well, we got more info on them as well.
We’ve got Prime Sentinels which also match the Prime Sentinels that were shown off from the Operation: Zero Tolerance Crisis Pack coming for MCP later this year. We also learned there’s new Warriors Sentinels as well. From what Will Shick was able to say about the game, players will have to attack and corrupt Master Mold’s plans so the Sentinels don’t continue to adapt. The overall scenario and story sound interesting and I can’t wait to hear more about it.
But that wasn’t the only teaser…
The Avengers are coming with their own pack as well! The Once and Future Kang set will feature Black Widow, Captain America, Iron Man, and Hawkeye. Again, these are cool alternate sculpts and it’s a nice way to get to playing with these F.A.S.T. minis.
But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t hyped for the enemies in this box…
Kang is the bad guy and he’s got different versions of …himself to help. It’s not just Kang the Conqueror, but we’ve also got Rama Tut and Immortis as well! I really hope they get additional rules but Kang already has some timey-whimy shenanigans to use in MCP also.
Marvel: Crisis Protocol Alliance Release Timeline
If everything goes according to plan then Night of the Goblin will arrive in August 2026. Then, roughly six months later, we’d get Attack of the Sentinels in Q1 of 2027. Followed by Once and Future Kang in Q2 2027. All of that sounds pretty great if you ask me!
I wonder if there will be a Fantastic Four box of MCPA one day…
