40K Grimdark Armylist: Triple Defiler Emperor’s Children
Today I’m thinking about Emperor’s Children and what I could do with three new Defilers moving, advancing, and shooting up the tabletop!
I am still on the Defiler bandwagon as this weekend saw the model finally get released. I have found a way to get three and depending on when they get here will see what nonsense I can play with. This time around I am thinking about Emperor’s Children and what I could do with a trio of them moving, advancing, and shooting at bad guys.
I think if you are going with three Defilers you need to build them to be with some Assault options as well as a decent set of shooting to take advantage of advance/shoot/charge the army can do with the Thrill Seeker ability. I am sure you still play with the Coterie of the Conceited detachment as it gives you the best options to “super” charge your army with all the abilities as you kill things. You also still keep the three Flying Daemon princes and look to overload the threat with a bunch of fat bodies, fast options, and some powerful edge case shooting with your Noise Marines.
Thankfully the App updated so I can throw out the list I am thinking about. This means painting my two other Defilers but they are cool as heck models. The first one has been done for a wee bit.

Triple Defilers EC Tactics
The idea is to use the Defilers to bully the middle of the board and present a tough challenge for some armies to remove. Depending on what you are playing against you could go fast into getting these guys mixed into their army, just control the lanes, or play a bit cagey as you stage around the table top. The biggest issue is knowing when to move and advance to get some kind of shooting advantage as needed.
Here is my Defiler who I have fixed by adding on the Electroscourge as well as a Heavy Baleflamer. The newer ones I will be doing I plan on magnetizing a bit. The extra gone doesn’t need magnets on the barrel parts as it can dry fit and stay stuck if needed.
All Hail Fulgrim!
