Games Workshop is back with more rules for the Skaven coming in the City of Ash box. Clan Eshin is here with a free download!

Alright Skaven players, this one is for you! There’s a pair of free download for Clan Eshin. First up is the Battletome Supplement for them and second is their Battle Profiles.

Now, the Clans Eshin are getting in on the act with the kill-pack battle formation – simply choose your target, and then, once they’ve been taken care of, get out of there as fast as you can.

Clan Eshin Rules Preview

Kill-Kill! Scurry-Flee is the first preview we’re getting here. It’s a dastardly way to boost your Eshin units speed for the rest of the battle. You basically target an enemy Hero and once they are destroyed all those Eshin units get an extra 2″ move. If you’re able to score that early it could be quite a boon for the whole game. Or if you get it late, perhaps you can use it to capitalize on some late game objective snagging.

We’ve seen teasers about how deadly Crixxit is going to be. Now we’ve got a look at The Blades of Thirteen Cuts. And yes,  it turns out that’s he’s quite the blender he’s been hyped up to be! On top of all those attacks, he’s also got a few other abilities to be aware of:

Yeah, good luck pinning him down! Or avoiding him for that matter. If he’s in range of an enemy hero in combay with an Eshin unit, he can basically teleport into that combat. And he can be setup IN that combat. Once he’s in, Crixxit can dump 26 attacks on an enemy Hero unit thanks to the Master of Assassin ability. If you were wondering how you’d trigger Kill-Kill! Scurry-Flee hopefully this gives you some ideas now…

While Gutter Runners are deadly in their own right, it’s also worth noting they bring the Bomb Rats with them.

When they detonate these Bomb Rats can do up to 3 mortal damage to a target unit. While that might not seem like a TON of damage, it’s enough to mop-up a weakened unit. Or perhaps soften them up for the next round of combat.

Night Runners are also joining in the fun this round as well. They might be considered fodder as the lowest-ranking members of Eshin. But with enough of them on the field they can still cause lots of problems. They can toss out a surprising number of shots at 10″ thanks to their Slings and Poisoned Stars. On top of that their Grappling Hooks can get them easily within striking distance of an enemy unit. And if you needed one more reason to run them, they also bring Smoke Bombs to scurry out of combat, too!

And finally, we also have those Battle Profiles in case you wanted to know how many points running these units would cost you.

Again, you can download both the Battle Profiles and the Battletome Supplement: Skaven Eshin directly from the WarCom site. These rules are out now so give them a read and come up with your own Skaven plots!

Kill-Kill! Scurry-Flee certainly sounds like a Skaven plan to me!
