D&D: Claim Your Free Copy Of The Ravenloft ‘Play-Along Pack’ – Featuring A Zombie Clot
D&D’s Season of Horrors has begun in earnest with the release of a new actual play show and accompanying Ravenloft “Play-Along Pack.”
I guess, technically, D&D’s new Season of Horrors began last week with the launch of pre-orders for the touching centerpiece of the season, Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. But now, there’s something beyond just the pre-order to mark the Season with. Actually, two things.
First, there’s the new Dungeon Masters actual play show, which takes place in the horror-strewn realm of Ravenloft. At least the first few episodes will (presumably, since it’s planned to go weekly for a little while). You can watch the first two episodes below – but alongside that, we have a “Play-Along Pack” that is inspired by the show. You might be wondering what a “Play-Along Pack” is, well, let’s check it out.
Claim Your Ravenloft “Play-Along Pack”
As the name suggests, this is intended to let you play along with the show. Accompanying the release of each episode of Dungeon Masters is a Ravenloft-themed release of something, like a new mapset or whatever.
In the case of the Ravenloft Play-Along Pack, it’s a series of short encounters (and quickplay maps designed to work in D&D Beyond’s Maps). If you’ve watched the show, you’ll understand how the Zombie Clot fits with the show. But, even if you never see an episode, you can still get a new encounter, monster, and more – all free, right now!
In the village of Hroth, a grieving doctor’s desperate choice has unleashed undead horrors upon the townsfolk.
Inspired by episode 1 of Dungeon Masters, this encounter will force your party into morally fraught struggle when a rioting town is set upon by a Zombie Clot and Swarm of Zombie Limbs from Ravenloft: The Horrors Within.
The neat thing about this pack is that out gives you a preview of what lurks in the upcoming Ravenloft book. The Zombie Clot is a new monster that will release when the book does. Future “play-along packs” will have more stuff, but you’ll have to pre-order Ravenloft: The Horrors Within to be able to grab thosw.
