Games Workshop Rumor Engine: Where Are They Now – April 2025 Edition
It’s been a year since we last saw these Rumor Engines from Games Workshop. Let’s see how they turned out.
April is almost over and while we didn’t get a TON of Rumor Engines from this year we did get FIVE of them last year. So it’s time to check in on those old Rumor Engines and see where they landed. Also, how is almost MAY 2026 already?! Can someone pump the brakes on time just a little please?

That scanner was indeed something belonging to the Leagues of Votann and it’s part of the Cthonian Earthshakers unit!
April 15, 2025 – Serious Skull Hardware
Status: Solved
That skull is part of the Chapter Ancient from the Black Templars. All that ornateness makes sense now!
April 22, 2025 – Probably Not A Hubcap
Status: Solved
This “hubcap” was indeed a Knight Upgrade. This is the Void Shield Generator option for the Knight Defender.
April 29, 2026 – Fire The Missiles!
Status: Solved
I’m actually pretty proud of this one because I freakin’ called it. It was for the new (at the time) Knight Ruinator. I didn’t know the name of the new Chaos Knight but I was so sure of this one I even made a mock-up:
Those missile pods lined up too well and I was right about it from the start!
