The Yu-Gi-Oh! set that wins this challenge will get made into a set you can buy – so make sure you get your vote in now!

The latest LEGO IDEAS challenge is up for vote. Creators were asked to design a set focusing on the iconic tournaments from the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime with a 2,000-piece limit.

We want to see builds that bring the energy of Yu-Gi-Oh! to life! You should create your ultimate builds, based on the Battle City and Duelist Kingdom tournament arcs from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime. This means your build can only showcase duels, monsters, and/or characters that were featured in those episodes of the anime! It’s hard to pick a favorite!

The top five have been chosen, and it’s time for the community to pick. Make sure to get your vote in by April 28th.

Summoning Slifer the Sky Dragon at Battle City – REDUX

Build the epic duel between Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba in the Battle City finals with this 839-piece set. It features the Egyptian God Slifer the Sky Dragon coiled around Yugi’s Duel Disc, which is on a Yu-Gi-Oh branded stand. It also includes a Yami Yugi minifigure and three micro builds of sacrifices for Yugi’s Egyptian God Card.

Duel Across the Millennia

This 1,917-piece set centers on Yugi and Kaiba dueling using holographic technology, and Atem and Seto face each other in an ancient Shadow Game. The two battles represent the modern world and Egyptian mythology.

The scene centers on the iconic rivalry between Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba. It represents both their duel in the modern timeline and the ancient confrontation between Atem and Priest Seto thousands of years earlier. By depicting both encounters in one composition, the model visualizes a conflict that spans millennia.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon – Duel Display

Seto Kaiba’s signature monster, the legendary Blue-Eyes White Dragon, is at the center of this 595-piece set. It features several nods to Egyptian mythology, like a stone tablet representing the dragon and the stone base. The set also includes a Seto Kaiba minifigure to recreate the legendary moment when he summons the white dragon.

Millennium Puzzle: Duel of Eternal Rivals

Every Yu-Gi-Oh! story begins with the awakening of the Millennium Puzzle. This display model depicts the Duel between the eternal rivals, Yugi and Kaiba, that began with the awakening of the Millennium Puzzle. The scene brings together the iconic elements of Yu-Gi-Oh!: the Millennium Puzzle, the rivalry that drives the story, and the legendary monsters.

The two monsters featured in this 1,585-piece set can be displayed on independent stands, allowing for a variety of battle poses.

The Heart of the Cards – Exodia

This brings the famous game into the mix by having Exodia emerge from a pair of cards, creating a display that pays homage to the very first episode of the show. Both the monster and Yugi figures have points of articulation that allow for dynamic posing.

Want To Build Something Now?

While we’re waiting for the results, there are some dueling anime monsters you can get now. LEGO and The Pokémon Company teamed up this year and put out three licensed sets featuring five fan-favorite pocket monsters.

The sets offer a range of complexity. Evee has 587 pieces, and Pikachu is a bit more challenging to build with 2,050 pieces. If you want something more hefty, the trio of Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise comes in at 6,838 pieces – they can be displayed together on a themed base, or separately.
