It’s not always easy to visualize what the map looks like in your TTRPG. But luckily, there are tons of battle maps to lay it all out on.

We don’t all use battle maps in our TTRPGs. Some games come with fully detailed maps and physical monsters, minis, and buildings. But other games ask you to rely on your imagination. My GM usually draws an approximation of what we’re looking at on bit white board. Of course, we use whatever we have (usually Lego minifigs) as character minis. But if you want to keep things organized and easy to visualize session after session, these battle maps will keep all of your encounters carefully plotted out.

Battle Map Grasslands Pack

Lots of encounters take place on open land. Whether you’re traveling between cities, camping out, or need a place large enough for a massive battle, grasslands and nature is something your adventurers are probably familiar with. This pack features open grass space, as well as a river-covered map for many of your outdoor encounter needs.

Reusable Scenery Map & Decals

This book of battle maps has a huge variety of specific scenes, including a cave, a grove, a city, a prison, a port, the skeleton field you see above, and many more. It also includes more than two hundred scenery decals for adding a little more detail to your individual scenes. Some of these scenes may not fit into your story. But I think it’s more likely that some of these may inspire new chapters and scenes for your game.

Double Sided Dry Erase Grids

I love a simple, straightforward map. This one is double-sided with options for square grids and hex grids. And both sides are compatible with dry and wet-erase markers. So you can draw your own maps for every encounter. And for details, barrels, torches, and taverns, this set also includes thirty-five reusable vinyl stickers to place around your newly drawn map. I know those little details can be hard to doodle by hand.

Four Terrain Grid Maps

For the GM on the go, this is a set of two roll-up battle maps. But each is double-sided, so you’ll have four unique terrains. Rolled maps can be annoying to work with, so this set comes with straightening clips, as well as the dry-erase marker and eraser you’ll need for drawing your details into the maps.

Foldable Terrain Maps

Like the idea of variety, but don’t want to deal with constantly rolling and unrolling your map? This set is very similar, but the maps are fold-up. And even the box serves a purpose. One half can be used as a castle or colosseum, while the other is a continuation of your grasslands.

Maps of Towns & Taverns

Not everywhere you’ll travel in D&D will be outdoors or in a dungeon. Often, your adventurers will be traveling through towns and cities. And this book has all of the towns, taverns, inns, shops, gardens, piers, and everything else you may find there.
