Star Wars: Legion – Developer Update April 2026
The folks behind Star Wars: Legion sat down and went over all the updates coming to the game with a new video.
Atomic Mass Games held a livestream earlier this week on their Twitch Channel. I only caught the back half of it when it was live. Fortunately, they have since reuploaded the video to their YouTube Channel and you can now watch it when you’ve got time:
They covered a fairly wide range of adjustments, updates, and new things coming to the tabletop. I’ve got the highlights below so let’s get into it!
Star Wars: Legion Point Adjustments
There were a bunch of points tweaks for different squads and card upgrades across the board. Generally speaking these are pretty self explanatory. You can watch the video if you want the full insights regarding these changes however. The short version is that if the unit or upgrade went up in points it’s because it was doing a little too well. And if it went down in points, well, AMG wanted to promote it’s use or it was underperforming for the points cost.
New Battleforces
If you’re looking for some new things to play around with, there’s a pair of new Battleforces you can run now as well. The Onaka Gang has a full army option now.
There’s also a new Geonosian themed Battleforce that pairs droids and Geonosians together as well.
New Rule & Card Updates
Up next there’s a BUNCH of tweaks to various keywords and what that means for the game. One keyword that got a lot of attention was the AI units and how those work.
Take note on the AI: Action updates if you’re playing with droids. This one is kind of a big deal.
On top of the Strike Team changes above, there were also a bunch more updated cards that you can see below. If you were running any of these upgrades you’re going to want to at least see if the points shifted for you.
More Tour Of Duty Rules
The Tour of Duty mode also got some attention. Primarily there’s new Paragon updates for you to use in you campaign games.
Future Teaser
And finally, we got a teaser for a new “family” of things coming to the game soon…
If you want to read more about these changes, AMG does have a Transmission Article dedicated to all these changes as well. Also, be sure to check out their Rules Page for downloads for all the relevant documents, too. This is a fairly big update for SWL. For the most part it’s subtle tweaks and points updates, however, it’s still a LOT of them. I wouldn’t say this is “new edition” level reset but it is a shake-up of the meta. If nothing else, it’s probably a good time to check out the units that got point tweaks and re-evaluate them for your own armies on the tabletop.
The Force is strong with this update!
