The reboxed Republic AT-RT is in the house and we’re taking a look at the updated Star Wars: Legion kit.

The AT-RT has a new kit from Atomic Mass Games. They were kind enough to send me a review copy and I’ve popped the box and built this miniature. So let’s check it out!

This is a reboxing of the previous SWL71 Republic AT-RT unit. But the cards have been updated for the current edition.

As we’ve come to expect from AMG all the contents are in their own bag. The flyer does have that QR code thank links to the assembly page. And for this miniature, you’re probably going to want to read that document before you start gluing. More on that later.

Anyhow, there are two sprues in the box. Plus the multilingual set includes a play set of cards for all the supported languages. Oh and the tokens. You’ll get those, too.

Card-wise, these are the new versions of the cards. I’ve included the back of the French card to show off the points cost. Aside from that, you get all the same options in the kit that were previously there. The art and cards have been updated for the new format, too.

Sprue-wise, again it’s two sprues and a base. You do get quite a few options though. There’s two different riders you can build and the legs are surprisingly customizable. You also get three different weapon options which you can see the cards off above. Building this one was a little tricky…but not in a bad way. So let’s get to the build.

The first thing I wanted to point out is that I did not glue in the primary weapon. You can swap between the three if you don’t glue them in place. So remember that! Aside from that, I opted for the rider with their gun in the air. I’m pretty sure you can just not glue in their arms and then swap between the two riders though.

Aside from those things the legs are highly posable. It’s going to depend on how you want your miniatures legs to be setup but you can really get some good dynamic positioning out of them. If you’re really into the hobby side, you could even add a rock or some barrier with the leg stepping over/on it. Get creative!

I will say that you’re going to want to look-up how those feet are built though. There’s quite a few parts to them but in the in end that’s really so you can position everything how you want it. I’m wondering if you could get away with leaving parts of the feet without glue for extra mobility as well…but then you might end up with a miniature that won’t stand up correctly.

Regardless, this is the same miniature from the previous version. While it’s not new it is back in stock and ready for you to add to your Republic army!

Star Wars: Legion – Republic AT-RT $34.99

This expansion contains 1 AT-RT miniature, enough for one support unit in a Galactic Republic army.

    • This pack is a reissue of the previously released SWL71 Republic AT-RT Unit.
    • This pack includes the same miniatures as SWL71 but updates the packaging and cards to the new SWQ multi-lingual format.

It wasn’t the easiest kit to build but it wasn’t all that difficult either!
