Warhammer 40K: Wazdakka Gutsmek Rules – Here Comes Da Speedwaaagh!
Get your motor runnin’ because Wazdakka Gutsmek is revvin’ and ready to roll into Warhammer 40,000!
When it comes to zooming around the battlefield the Speedwaaagh! has quite the reputation. And at the head of that convoy of pain is the psycho of speed himself: Wazdakka Gutsmek. Today we’re getting a look at his rules and his super-charged bike is going to fly across the tabletop!
Wazdakka leads his Speedwaaagh! by example, and his example is an outrageous one to follow. Atop his mighty warbike Big Revva, he’s a real force of nature with the toughness of a Trukk, the firepower of a Dakkajet, and the choppiness of a Deff Dread rolled into one intensely fast package.
Wazdakka Gutsmek – Speed Is Everything
Starting off with a 14″ is already impressive. But what’s even more insane are the bonus rules for Wazdakka. Seriously, check out those Throttlerokkit Shokka Engine rules:
Now, he can only choose ONE of those abilities in a turn during the command phase. Still you can choose to have Wazdakka charge in a turn when he advanced or Fell Back. Or he can get an automatic 6″ move when he does Advance. OR he can move through models and terrain features. The big takeaway here is that he’s going to get where he wants and then charge the target. Good luck getting away from him.
He’s also super tough to take down from range already because he’s a Lone Operative. That means you can’t target him from more that 12″ away. He’s got a 14″ move before he speeds around. It’s almost better to just square up and see if you can slow him down!
But even if he’s not zooming at your front line he’s still got some serious heat. He’s packing the Psyko-gatler which has 12 shots at 24″ and each can do 2 damage. Plus it’s got sustained hits. He’s also got the Grabba Dragga which is more of a precision weapon with 1 shot at 12″ but at strength 10 for 3 damage. Both weapons are AP -2 on top of that!
But I think he really shines in close combat. You can see his attacks above and yeah, that’s all coming from him in one go! Just keep in mind that while he’s going to be fast and oppressive, he’s not going to be able to tackle an entire army by himself. Luckily, he makes Warbikers Battleline if he’s the Warlord. And there’s a new Speedwaaagh! Detachment coming in the Armageddon: The Return of Yarrick books. So I think you can see where this is going.
The orks are going to bring a serious case of the zoomies…
