40K Grimdark Armylist: Marine Armoured Speartip Land Raider Trident
The new Space Marine Armoured Speartip detachment is pretty nutty and today I want to take some Land Raiders for a test drive!
I want to make a Armoured Speartip Highlander list that utilizes 3 different Land Raiders to create something brutal. I think will have to go into the Ultramarine side just to get some fun stuff added to this. I love the idea of using three (a trident if you will) of Land Raiders so let’s build this out. I have stated I wanted to use three Land Raiders and since this is a Highlander list it means I need to take a Redeemer, a Crusader, and a regular Land Raider.
Putting the List Together
Let’s write these out and see what kind of points we are left with.
Land Raider – 220pts
Land Raider Crusader – 220pts
Land Raider Redeemer – 270pts
Total: 710pts
Next let’s figure out what needs to show up in here. I think a shooting attack option, a good powerful close combat option, and maybe another close combat option. I also wonder if we should do 2 shooting options as well but let’s build this with two assault parts.
Victrix Guard X 6 – 220pts
Bladeguard Veteran Squad X 6 – 160pts
Wardens of Ultramar – 105pts
Total: 485pts
Next up we need a shooting platform and then the characters to lead the assault unit and the shooting option. I think will go with a Unit of Eradicators and then the Captain in Gravis Armour with Shock Deployment to help get those Eradicators doing some Eradicating.

Finally we need some scouting options to hopefully ensure we don’t get locked into our zone or controlled in some way. The Lieutenant will help but a unit of Scouts sounds like the right thing to add to this pile.

Land Raider Trident Tactics
You have a unit of Victrix guard with a Captain, you have the Bladeguard Veterans with the Wardens plus Titus, and then you have an Eradicator unit with the Gravis Captain. You have a few things to go do missions as needed as well as some powerful shooting when you get to wreck someone. Would this be something that might work?
