A Huge Digital Content Release Is Here For ‘Malifaux’ & ‘Other Side’ Players
Wyrd Games has consolidated their reams of digital content for Malifaux and Through the Breach!
Wyrd Games is releasing a treasure trove of digital content spanning the decades of Malifaux’s four editions. For some time now, Wyrd has been publishing great digital support for their games, and with the fourth edition of Malifaux gaining in popularity, they’ve taken the trouble of consolidating a ton of these books and digital resources.
Malifaux 4th Edition Faction Books on DriveThruRpg
All eight of the game’s Faction Books are now available for sale on DriveThruRpg. These books are each presented in a format familiar to most wargamers. Each showcases a faction’s models with stats, keyewords, quick reference material, and updated setting material like lore and bios for characters. You can also find older collections of lore from the previous edition. A collection of 12 books is available for the very reasonable price of $12. There is also a full “Legacy Collection” spanning all three past editions.
Print on Demand
Print-on-Demand options have become a great quality-of-life improvement for wargamers everywhere, and it’s cool seeing Wyrd embrace this option. Being able to print out a few missing stat cards or even a full deck is awesome both for players at home or event organizers who need to keep their games running smoothly.
App Support
Wyrd has also expanded their digital tools for both Malifaux and it’s mass-battles cousin, The Other Side. The Malifaux Crew Builder is currently up to date and equipped to give you all the stats, rules and digital cards necessary to get your crew on the table. There is also a Company Builder for The Other Side, though they state that it is in the process of being updated. Not all factions are yet supported, though they say the Midngiht Maw and Sandmen Syndicate will soon be added.
STLs for The Other Side
Many STLs are now available through MyMiniFactory in support of The Other Side. These promise to add new Commanders, units, and other playable pieces to your games via ready-to-print STLs.
In addition to all this support for Malifaux, Wyrd has a ton of other stuff in the works. A painting competition for The Other Side is currently in progress. As well, there’s tons of stuff happening for Through the Breach, the RPG set in the world of Malifaux. You can listen to the Breachside Broadcast with narrated podcasts exploring the games’ setting and a ton of RPG content for Through the Breach found both on DriveThruRPG and Wyrd’s own website.
I haven’t played Malifaux in a while but maybe it’s time to dust off my banjo-wielding Gremlins.
