A huge wave of new Cities of Sigmar models is up for pre-order now. Get a closer look at Erasmus Zonn, the new Cogfort, and more.

Battletome: Cities of Sigmar is just over the horizon and is accompanied by a huge wave of extremely cool new models. We have an early look at a trio of new character kits, the Gate Gargants, as well as the Dawner’s Triumph faction terrain, and the much-anticipated Cogfort!

Erasmus Zonn, The Enlightened One

Certain to become a centerpiece model in many armies, Erasmus Zonn the Enlightened One brings the light magics of Hyish to your tabletop. This is just a super cool kit that marries the aesthetics of the Cities of Sigmar range with that of the Lumineth Realm-Lords.

Amethyst Knellmage

A master of the deathly magics of Shyish, the Amethyst Knellmage is a simple but flavorful little kit. I love his deathly bell helmet and compulsory scythe, and the smoke effect from his raised hand is just really atmospheric.

Aqshian Pyrocaster

The final point in our triumvirate of new spell casters is the Aqshian Pyrocaster striking a suitably bombastic pose. The sculpted flames as a basing element add a really impressive sense of motion to an othewrise simple sculpt.

Gate Gargants

This pair of models in a single kit is one of the most creative concepts I’ve seen in a while. Each Gargant carries a massive city gate into battle, acting as a mobile fortress from which the rest of your army can sally forth. Each gargant is topped with a crow’s nest artillery weapon crewed by brave mortals who can handle the motion sickness of lurching around on top of a giant while firing a gigant gun.

Cannonade and Conqueror Cogforts

I suspect the Cogfort is the most anticipated model ever released for this army, and it does not dissapoint. The kit can be built in one of two variants: Cannonade and Conqueror and both are extremely cool. The sculpt is just crammed with the charming medieval details we’ve come to expect from the Cities of Sigmar range. Crew take their places on the parapets, chains and banners extend all around, and the Cogfort’s trim looks lovingly designed by its creators. Just an amazing kit all around.

Dawner’s Triumph

Finally, the Cities of Sigmar receive their own signature faction terrain and it’s a cool one. A floating monument in honor of those who gave their lives in the furtherance of securing the mortal realms, it’s an imposing funerary monument. It’s also much more stable on the board than it might seem at first glance!
