Sometimes we all just need a quiet day in. And these D&D accessories will make taking a ‘you’ day into a very cozy adventure.

It’s pouring here. When the weather is like this, all I want to do is sit at home under a blanket with my favorite movie and my project of the week and have a cozy day. But just because we’re having a quiet, cozy day in, doesn’t mean it can’t also be an adventure. A cozy D&D adventure.

D&D Blanket

Is it cold and gross outside? Do you just want to sit somewhere and be comfy? I never don’t recommend a super soft blanket. Personally, my couch has about fifteen of these in various themes and sizes. Some I made, others just appeared one day. But the extra soft, silky blankets like this one are some of my favorites. This one has a giant D20 in the middle, with various D&D logos and symbols around it.

Honor Among Thieves

Even if I have no intention of paying attention to it, the second thing I do on a cozy day after finding a blanket is turning on something to watch. And this may just be a perfect low-key, cozy-day movie. Most of us have seen it already, so we don’t need to pay a ton of attention to know what’s going on. But it’s also silly, light, and great as a feature of your day, or as background noise while you’re doing something else. This is the kind of movie I’d turn on if I plan on completely losing time on a crochet project. But can’t you watch this movie streaming? Probably! But I’ll never not recommend collecting physical media.

Baldur’s Gate Coloring Book

You’ve got your blanket, you’ve got your background-noise movie, now you need something low-key to do with your hands that isn’t playing phone games. Doom-scrolling isn’t it either. In fact, just put down your phone. Instead, coloring may be the way to go. And the official Baldur’s Gate 3 coloring book will let you color in beautiful art of your favorite video-game adventuring party. Unfortunately, this item won’t be in your hands until August, but you can pre-order it now and have it the day it becomes available.

Of course, you may not be into coloring books. Personally, I like the idea of coloring and then I get bored of it fast. But I love reading a book when I need some quiet time in. And there are also Baldur’s Gate novels coming out! The first one is Astarion, it’s by T. Kingfisher, and it is similarly on pre-order for September.

Reversible Owlbear Plush

According to my daughter, you can’t get cozy without a plush to squish. And that’s definitely a theory she inherited from me, because I also love a soft doll. These dolls are reversible D&D monsters. The owlbear shifts between this content brown owlbear to a much angrier white one. There is also a mimic doll that flips between looking like a regular treasure chest and showing its big teeth.

Obojima

Just because we’re staying in and having a cozy day doesn’t mean we’re not also playing D&D. My adventuring buddies know that I may show up to game night in sweats and the largest hoodie I own ready to impress absolutely no one. And for those days, there is the Obojima setting for 5E. Obojima is a whimsical fantasy setting, inspired by the worlds of Studio Ghibli and Legend of Zelda. If you’ve ever thought about taking a basket full of that incredible-looking Ghibli food and trying to find the friendly spirits of the forest, this is the game setting for you.

Cat Dice

If we’re turning our cozy day into a game day, you’ll need dice. And nobody is as good at getting chilling out and cozy as a cat. These dice have one of those black cats that make it look like the void is blinking back at you on a galaxy background with a liquid core.
