Games Workshop Pre-Orders: Time to Give Tanks
A pair of imposing vehicles arrive on the field for your games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy.
Only two models are up for pre-order this week: a pair of heavy vehicles for the Legiones Astartes of the 31st Millenium. Games Workshop is clearing the field for the coming launch of 11th edition 40k, so I expect we’ll only see a few more models pre-released in May and early June. This is a great set of models, though, and as a big-time Horus Heresy fan, I’m glad to see them arriving soon after their rules were released in Journal Tactica: The Battle of Tallarn.
Falchion Super-Heavy Tank Destroyer
Falchion Super-Heavy Tank Destroyer $210
The release of the Falchion completes the trio of Fellblade chassis super-heavies previewed this past winter. I absolutely love this tank and can’t wait to add one to my own force. Its main gun is capable of punching holes straight through pretty much anything on the table. It’s powerful enough that even Titans need to be wary of its neutron-wave cannon. This huge tank is further armed with defensive sponson weapons. Choose from a pair of laser destroyers, Gravis heavy bolter batteries, or lascannon arrays, depending on the threats you anticipate facing.
Spartan Prometheus Assault Tank

Spartan Prometheus Assault Tank $122
An alternate loadout for the mighty Spartan, this is a fearsome variant of the venerable Land Raider class of vehicles. This version of the Spartan is armed with your choice of sponson-mounted laser destroyers or gravis heavy bolter batteries. Once it’s delivered its complement of marines to their objective, it can be used as a medium tank hunter with the laser destroyers or as anti-infantry fire-support with the heavy bolters. I was just pondering whether I could use a Spartan in Justaerin livery, come to think of it…
Tanks for reading! I’m sorry, I’ll see myself out.
