Grimdark Army List – Thousand Sons – Magnus & His Masters

Goatboy here with the list of the week. Right now 10th edition is winding down – I got 2 events left before I am really fully ready to absorb 11th edition. While the end of the edition is having a crab problem we have a list that is built to just remove any Crab that gets exposed. Tj is a well known Thousand Sons player (Chaos player if you really want to look at his lists) and his list is just a brutal MSU designed ready to wreck crabs.
Tj won the Richmond Open that happened a few weeks ago with this list. It was a 161 player event that had a lot of powerful armies out there. I love his Thousand Sons lists as he plays the strong movement game with so many options and ways to put the hurt on the enemy. Check out his list below.

Magnus & His Masters Tactics
Magnus leads a pile of MSU damage dealers that can show up, pump out some damage, and then die without leaving the army lurching. I think this is well poised for the new edition with some of the pushes for Psychic weapons and just the ability to move and do tons of things. I also think an army full of Invulnerable saves is a powerful thing with cover not giving you any bonuses to your armor save.
Thousand Sons is still very strong and while it is hard to play – if you face one on the table be prepared to get wrecked by psychic fire and sorcerous Bolters. You also have to worry about Magnus running around the table doing dumb things. You thought the Bow Goats were gone and here they come – shooting you full of magic business arrows.
