Star Wars: Legion – TSMEU-6 Personal Wheel Bikes Unboxed & Up Close
The new TSMEU-6 Personal Wheel Bikes are ready to lead the charge for the Droid army! Let’s take a closer look at them.
Atomic Mass Games sent me a review copy of the new TSMEU-6 Personal Wheel Bikes box and I will say that I was impressed. While the unit might not be brand new (General Grievous got one first) this two pack provides loads of options and new back-up on wheels!
I managed to build these two, and I wanted to share my experience with them. But first, let’s see the insides of this box.
TSMEU-6 Bikes Unboxed
As we’ve come to expect with Atomic Mass Games products, we’ve got the goods in their own baggies. The sprues are in one big bag, while the bases and cards are in their own respective bags. Naturally, there’s also the flyer that has the QR code that links to the build guide. More on that later.
Card-wise, you still get a full play set of the cards for each of the supported languages. I wanted to show off the artwork as well so I used the English versions for the rules and the French for the art. I think these are pretty self-explanatory rules-wise. While it’s not exactly the same thing, you can check out the tips from General Grievous from AMG. There’s a lot of synergy to run these bikes close to Grievous on a bike. Combined, it thinks it’s a fast-moving and hard-hitting threat that your enemies can’t ignore!
The Sprues are also fairly straightforward. You’ll end up with a total of 5. You get 2 sets of 2 for the body of the bike and one more for the riders. Also, it’s worth noting that there are quite a few options for the riders, as you can build them a couple of different ways. I opted to build them to match the box. This also helped me to understand the challenge of building them in their respective ways. Speaking of which… Let’s check out the completed models!
TSMEU-6 Bikes Up Close
I think this unit turned out really cool. I like both versions of the bikes, as one is a more focused gunner and the other has the Magna Pilot with the staff.
The bikes themselves are virtually identical in the build process. There’s really not much to say on that front other than follow the instructions for those.
I will also point out that the bases on the bikes allow you to position them at slightly different angles. I’m confident you could customize the bases to your liking if you wanted them to be at a more dynamic angle.
The chair/rider assembly was honestly the trickiest part. Specifically attaching the interior arms/legs to where they needed to go. I used plastic glue, and the slightly delayed setting of the glue allowed me to position the miniature’s appendages where they needed to be. Unless you’ve got really thin fingers and high hand-eye dexterity, you’re going to really want a little bit of time to get the bits in the right spot.
That said, they still weren’t quite as spindly as some of the other Droids in the game. This assembly wasn’t the easiest but it was far from the worst. Overall, I’m happy with the end result, and I think this kit, while a slight challenge to build, is one of the more impressive ones in Star Wars: Legion.
You can snag your own now from Asmodee or your FLGS! These are out and available.
Star Wars: Legion – TSMEU-6 Personal Wheel Bike $69.99
The TSMEU-6 personal wheel bike is a favored ground craft of the Separatist Alliance. Known for its speed and ability to decimate the front line of an opposing force by crushing those unfortunate enough to fall under its massive metal wheel, the sound alone of a TSMEU-6 rolling through the battlefield is enough to shake the resolve of any clone trooper.
The Droids are rolling to war!
